Exciting changes ahead for the Young Chamber Programme: Strengthening Business-School Connections
The Young Chamber Programme is evolving and we’re delighted to share a first look at what’s coming next. This initiative has long been a cornerstone of our work to connect local businesses with schools, supporting careers education and helping to build a strong, sustainable talent pipeline.
As we prepare to launch a refreshed version of the programme, we’re introducing new opportunities for businesses to engage, inspire, and invest in the next generation of talent.
What’s changing?
The updated Young Chamber Programme will offer a more structured framework for collaboration between education and industry.
Key developments include: Industry-led workshops
We’re piloting sector-specific workshops, co-designed with member businesses, to highlight career opportunities, particularly in industries facing recruitment challenges.
Business Skills Passport
A new series of workshops will focus on developing essential workplace skills, helping students build confidence and capability for their future careers.
Enterprise Project
Launching in 2026, this pilot initiative will see student teams compete to create a company, develop a product, and pitch it to a panel of Chamber members, bringing enterprise education to life.
School responsive support
We’ll continue to respond to requests from schools for support with mock interviews, careers talks, site tours, and other events, ensuring flexibility and relevance.
New look, same mission
To reflect the programme’s refreshed direction, we’re also redesigning the Young Chamber brand and logo. The new visual identity will better represent the energy, innovation, and collaboration at the heart of the initiative.
Why get involved?
Joining the Young Chamber Programme offers a range of benefits for your business:
Shape future talent
Help students understand your industry and the skills they’ll need to succeed. Give back locally
Strengthen ties with your community and support local schools in delivering meaningful careers education.
Enhance your brand
Demonstrate your commitment to social responsibility and workforce development.
Discover emerging talent
Engage with motivated young people who could become future employees, apprentices, or ambassadors.
What’s next?
We’ll be hosting a launch event later this year to introduce the new programme in more detail and answer any questions. Invitations will be sent out soon, and we encourage all members to attend.
