SLS Social Events:

Kingston & Guildford

Surrey Law Society kicked off 2025 with two fantastic social events, bringing together members for evenings of networking, friendly competition, and great fun. 

Kingston Social – The Ultimate Escape Challenge

Our first social event of the year took place in Kingston, where members tested their problem-solving skills in an exciting escape room challenge at Escape Hunt Kingston. Teams battled their way through intricate puzzles, hidden clues, and themed rooms in a race against the clock. The competition was fierce, but Elite Law Solicitors emerged victorious, escaping Blackbeard’s Treasure in an impressive 42 minutes and 14 seconds. Close behind were Russell-Cooke Solicitors, who also put in a strong performance across multiple rooms.

This event also marked the launch of the SLS 2025 Elite Challenge, a year-long competition tracking firm participation and performance across our social events. Russell-Cooke Solicitors took an early lead on the leaderboard after fielding multiple teams and securing top scores, with Elite Law Solicitors, Rose & Rose Solicitors LLP, and Pearson Hards Solicitors all close behind.

Guildford Social – A Night at the Wickets

Two weeks later, we headed to Sixes Social Cricket in Guildford for our first-ever SLS Guildford Social – A Night at the Wickets. Following the success of Kingston, this event introduced a sporting twist, with teams stepping up to the crease to test their batting skills.

Attendees from Rosewood Solicitors, Helen Smith Immigration Limited, Setfords, Gateley Legal, and Venner Shipley went head-to-head in a series of cricket-based challenges, supported by our wonderful sponsors Evelyn Partners, Landmark Information Group, and Pro Drive IT.

With plenty of pizza, drinks, and enthusiastic competition, spirits were high throughout the evening. After a hard-fought contest, Venner Shipley emerged victorious, taking home the winner’s hamper, presented by Charles Chandler of Evelyn Partners, an SLS Premium Patron.

This event also saw Rosewood Solicitors join the race for the SLS 2025 Elite Challenge, moving into joint third place on the leaderboard alongside Pearson Hards Solicitors and Rose & Rose Solicitors LLP.

Both events were fantastic opportunities for Surrey Law Society members to connect in a relaxed and engaging setting. With the SLS 2025 Elite Challenge now underway and more social events planned, we look forward to seeing even more firms join the fun in the months ahead!.
