Who are you?

My name is Lana Meakin and I am the Manager at Magenta Storage.

What’s your business all about?

At Magenta Storage, we provide secure and flexible storage solutions tailored for businesses, domestic customers and students. Our services go beyond just storage – we offer office solutions designed to support businesses in their growth. Our goal is to create a stress-free storage solution while also enabling businesses to thrive. Whether you need extra space or a dedicated workspace, we are here to help elevate your business to the next level.

Ideal customer?

My ideal customer is someone with whom we can build a mutually beneficial relationship, where we support each other’s growth and success in business.

Biggest achievement?

Personal: My biggest achievement is when I completed the London Marathon in memory of my best friend in 2022. I managed to complete it and raise £6,000 for Sarcoma UK.

Professionally: My biggest professional achievement is working my way up from joining Magenta Storage at 17 to senior management. I take great pride in being part of a company that values and respects both its staff and customers, making it a rewarding place to grow and succeed

Biggest gripe?

My biggest gripe in business is a “can’t-do” attitude. I believe challenges should be met with problem-solving and adaptability rather than limitations. A proactive mindset drives success, and I always encourage finding solutions rather than reasons something can’t be done.

Your inspiration?

My Grandad will always be my biggest inspiration. He had such an amazing work ethic all while ensuring he was present for his family, and he was someone that could always be relied on both in business and personally. He was kind and fair in everything he did. If I am half the person he was, then I have won in life.

Philosophy in business?

Balance is key – when work gets done efficiently and to a high standard, there must be room for fun. A happy team with great morale leads to a productive and successful business.

Sporting hero?

My sporting hero is Son Heung-min. He came to this country with little English and no family here, yet he embraced his teammates as family and always carries himself with grace and respect – truly heart-warming.

Biggest tip for success?

Put care and thought into everything you do and everyone you work with. Listen, learn, teach and communicate – success follows when you invest in both your work and the people around you.
