A busy start to the year in our international trade calendar
Rides MIEx (Grad) Chief Executive

One of our directors was invited to 10 Downing Street: congratulations Shankar. And questions from the Chamber were asked to the Chancellor in HM Treasury about issues that affect business in West London by Tony Mulvahill, Business Adviser, the day before the Heathrow announcement!

Our first month back in the new year has been a very busy one for International Trade, starting with a business breakfast talking about trade with Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
We have been asked by one of our members to be involved finding partners in a huge Meditech investment in the Middle East.
After initial meetings at UWL last year one of our members is growing his business in Oman and is looking to help other members who are interested in this new market.
Following this, we have a joint cooperation with UWL to develop an international trade program with them.
Our ties with France are very close now with our attendance at the British French Chamber monthly meetings.
One of our members requested that I fly to Istanbul to help them at a large event they hosted to open a local college.
Following up on our trade mission to Morocco in November, we visited Russell Finex to shoot a reel on their successful Trade Mission visit to Morocco. We then visited the Moroccan Ambassador to report on our progress with Gill Associates, Hampton Brands and Gethsemane.
I then took part in a Libyan government delegation reception to help SKS Tools with their export business.
To finish the month, I attended the British Uzbek Society meeting at their Embassy, and was interviewed on Uzbek TV talking up trade with West London.
