A ladies night held in Cheshunt last month has successfully raised almost £2,000 for Helping Herts – a Hertfordshire based charity that supports local people and their families.

Helping Herts, bring together remarkable local charities, united by a common goal: to improve the lives of children and young people. The funds raised on the night will be split between the 12 charities they support.

The event was organised by Dobsons Home, a family business in Cheshunt specialising in kitchens, bathrooms and glazing. Their showroom was transformed into a salon and shopping boutique for the evening, with guests enjoying beauty treatments, cupcake decorating classes, tarot readings and the opportunity to spruce up their wardrobes! The event was supported by several local female run businesses, including Mint of Hertford, Potter’s Pinkies,

Skin Tropics, Centrepiece Cakes by Kerry, Anna Figgins and many more.

Director Helen Dobson who organised the evening said “We were delighted with the success of the event and the fantastic turn out it attracted, most importantly we are thrilled to have raised so much money for the charity and would like to thank everyone who attended and all the ladies that contributed and displayed their products on the night.”

Jim Tatchell, co-founder of Helping Herts said: “We are so grateful to Dobsons and to everyone involved for putting on such an incredible evening and for the generosity of the fabulous guests, helping us raise money for Helping Herts. The money raised on the night will really make a difference to all the charities we support.”
