These can be adapted or expanded at any time thanks to the modular concept, allowing for maximum flexibility tailored to space and use. COOMO Outdoor is the weather-resistant version and can be used in outdoor areas.

Backrest and seat element: The substructure made of ePP (expanded polypropylene) and a plywood plate. ePP is 100% recyclable and free from harmful substances. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, ePP is lightweight, shock-absorbing, and dimensionally stable.
Cover and upholstery: All upholstered elements are made of dimensionally stable polyurethane foam (PUR foam, 55 kg). In the outdoor version, an additional protective layer made of textile fibres prevents moisture from penetrating and thus contributes to the material’s weather resistance. An optional flame-retardant version is available in accordance with BS 5852 Part 2, Ignition Source 5 (Crib 5). The covers are designed to be removable and are available in various fabric, imitation leather or leather collections. Colour configuration options: single colour or with optionally different seat and base upholstery .
Base: made of steel, powder-coated in black or clay matte.
Adjustment leg with universal glides: height adjustment range: +25 mm, suitable for all floor types.
Sectional connector: 2 pieces per COOMO module included in the scope of delivery.

OPTIONS
USB-C CHARGING PORT SET
If required, the COOMO base can be equipped with a USB-C charging port set. The necessary preparation is integrated as standard in the base of all modules. The USB-C charging port set is optional and must be ordered separately. Only suitable for COOMO modules used indoors.

Cabling of multiple elements:

The cabling system is designed so that multiple modules can be powered from a single electrical connection.
A recess in the lower part of each COOMO module allows for easy and clean cable routing between several modules.
The position of the USB-C charging port can be modified on-site if required.

For the secure anchoring of COOMO modules in outdoor areas. This mounting kit provides a stable connection to the ground.

PROTECTIVE COVER
The protective cover for the modular sofa COOMO Outdoor provides optimal protection against weather conditions, dust, and dirt. It is precisely tailored to each module element – pouf, single element, or corner element.
The durable, water-repellent material ensures long-lasting protection and shields the upholstery from UV radiation and moisture. The cover is easy to attach and remove, making it ideal for long-term outdoor use.

Our outdoor fabrics can also be used on indoor products. However, this does not make indoor products suitable for outdoor use.
SUSTAINABILITY
From the specifications stage through to series production, ecological requirements are always an important factor in the development process. This includes selecting environmentally compatible materials, such as CoC-certified timbers from sustainably managed forests, using recycled materials and increasing the use of renewable raw materials. In order to guarantee a high recyclability standard for our products, we avoid composites as much as possible and develop furniture that allows for disassembly.
Labelling of materials, their ability to be repaired, and a long service life for the components used, are other important requirements for product design. But the ability to disassemble and recycle the products at the end of their lives are also important criteria.

In the context of ecological building certification, design systems such as furniture and dividing walls help to achieve a good result and a higher score.
Bene's products make a contribution towards the LeeD, WeLL Building Standard, DGnB, BReeAM, etc. certifications. Criteria include, for example, environmental product declarations, indoor air quality, acoustics and convertibility.
