The present culture is something of the olden days and is based off work ethic and bringing back that pride that once ran the bases and swung for the fences. Over the past several years the baseball program has gone through many changes with the main focus changing to a family first, education second, and baseball third mentality. The family first understanding has formed an environment that is rich in pride and togetherness. COACHING STAFF 2020 SANTA ROSA BASEBALL
PAIGE DUMONT
VARSITY HEAD COACH
Paige Dumont began his playing career at the Santa Rosa Junior College. During his 3 year stint there, he played 2 years of basketball and two years of baseball. He was a part of a conference championship with each team and received 2nd Team All-Conference for basketball and was the league’s MVP (Most Valuable Pitcher) for baseball. Paige then moved on to Sonoma State. While at Sonoma, he was captain of the basketball team that put up a conference banner for the 1st time since 1971. He received 2nd Team All-Conference honors for hoops. He set SSU’s records for saves and appearances on a team that captured conference title and ended the regular season as the #1 ranked team in Division II. Paige was honored with 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-Region, 1st Team All American, and ESPN 2nd Team Academic All-American. Paige then signed a contract with the Philadelphia Phillies and played in the minor and independent leagues. He is now the President of The Program- Youth Skill Development, and enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, and anything with his wife and daughter.
