education from the University of Pennsylvania, for which his dissertation focused on single-sex education for boys. He earned his master’s degree in education from the Lynch School at Boston College, and his B.A. degree in English from BC’s College of Arts and Sciences. The new Showtime documentary “Kobe Bryant’s Muse” that aired in late February was directed by GAUTAM CHOPRA. In a brief Boston Globe profile, Gautam was described as a die-hard supporter of New England teams, despite living on the West Coast, and his passion for the Celtics was said to have fueled a longtime obsession with the rival team. “The Lakers have been sort of this fascinating mythology for me… and Bryant is a true historian when it comes to the game. He knows more about the Celtics than anyone I’ve ever met.”

2001 This from PATRICK HUGHES: “Quinn Patrick Hughes was born on May 24, 2014. We were absolutely overjoyed with his arrival last year, and it has been a wonderful, fulfilling experience watching him learn and grow. We recently spent the holidays with my family in Hawaii (including Quinn’s Uncle GREG HUGHES ’04), where Quinn was without a doubt the center of attention! Quinn has also been fortunate to meet some classmates from 2001, including ANDREW MCCARTHY and PAUL KELLY. Paul and his wife, Riley, are dear friends (and neighbors) we enjoy seeing often here in Virginia. Our sons are a few weeks apart in age; if we have not all relocated to New England by 2030, we hope that Underwood House, where I lived during my junior year at Belmont Hill, might have space for Quinn and Brice.” PAUL KELLY writes, “My wife Riley and I are thrilled to announce the birth of our son Brice Michael Kelly born May 8, 2014. We feel so lucky to have such a happy, loving little boy who is never in short supply of huge smiles. We are currently living in Alexandria, VA. Brice took his first trip to Boston over Labor Day weekend. He was able to meet our northern friends and family, including his big cousin MIKE DOUGREY ’00.
