We are honored by your attendance and support. This evening celebrates our mission to prepare young people to live faithfully and fully for God. Our mission is rooted in our core values of scholarship, relationship, and discipleship. We provide every student with an exemplary Christcentered education through classes, activities, and experiences that inspire and equip. At the core of our work at BCS are the devoted teachers who carry out our mission daily.
Tonight is an opportunity to invest in our teachers and support their vital work as we seek to grow the Bellevue Christian School Teacher Endowment. The Teacher Endowment increases our ability to recruit and retain committed, called, and gifted Christian educators who will disciple our students in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
This year’s auction theme, “Anchored in Trust”, in the faithfulness, goodness, and grace of Jesus Christ for more than seven decades. We believe God sustains us and the vital work of the Kingdom that occurs on our campuses each day.
We trust you will have a wonderful evening celebrating BCS’s heritage, present-day impact, and vision. Thank you for supporting and investing in the lives of our students and teachers and in the transformational work God is doing at BCS.
Trust in the Lord and do good. – Psalm 37:3
Sincerely,
ERIC RASMUSSEN Head of School Bellevue Christian School TONYA LOVING President BCS Board of Directors

our Teacher Endowment Fund -- a long-term investment fund to recruit and retain excellent teachers. The endowment will strengthen and sustain our commitment to bolster teacher compensation and support.
Bellevue Christian School believes that the ultimate goal of Christian education is Discipleship. For transformational discipleship to occur, students must be surrounded by adults who model BCS’ mission and vision, caring deeply for them, inspiring them to discover the unique gifts that God has given them. This connection between teachers others) has always been at the foundation of BCS education.
WHAT IS AN ENDOWMENT FUND?
Endowed funds are carefully invested in a portfolio, managed per Board policy by the school’s Trust and Investment Committee. The income earned from the investment is available for its intended use, while the corpus—the investment itself—is never spent and continues to grow based on additional contributions and income.
WHY AN ENDOWMENT FUND?
Creating an additional revenue stream via the Teacher Endowment to supplement teacher compensation will decrease our reliance on tuition as the sole channel of addressing this critical area.
WHEN WILL OUR TEACHERS BEGIN TO RECEIVE THE BENEFITS FROM THE ENDOWMENT FUND?
BCS has a policy to wait 18 months following reaching funding status before drawing on endowed funds. This allows withdrawals to come out of asset growth rather than donated amounts.
Teacher Endowment. The funds will be allocated and added to our teacher pay grid to increase contracted teachers’ salaries. Going forward, the amount we add to the pay grid will be calculated prior balances.
