A weaving workshop in downtown Blacksburg, Va. Design and fabrication workshop for a full range of experience, an exhibition space, a curator office, an artist in residence apartment, and a pedestrian cut through. How do you experience a textile? What if an experience could continue because movement and space are not limited?

Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University Bike Hub. Bike storage, warm up coffee shop, bike repair shop, campus integration. 3rd Year Architecture Competition.

Ocean Race Pavillion prototype. A conference room, a workshop, a public engagement space, a kitchenette, an office, storage room. Easily assembled, disassembled and shipped to follow the race. A meeting point of engagement and learning for the public and the sailing teams. Inhabitants become encompassed by the wave, focusing the center of attention on the ocean.

A small space for music at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Practice space, equipment storage, interior and exterior engagement performance space. Garage band type music nook. Strong wall engagement and operable wall adjustment.

A public library in Staunton, Virginia. Books, periodicals, audio recordings, reading rooms, classroom, conference room, retail space, children’s reading space, local history and genealogy, librarian office, staff room, reference desk, recording room, print lab. A courtyard provides light, air circulation, a connection to nature. Ceiling-tall structural bookshelves create a forest of books.
