Welcome to the 52nd annual Production Sale. A big thank you to all the buyers and bidders that have expressed interest in our program.

We experienced another typical year in Southeast Alberta - dry.... however timely rains in May/June made it possible to put up ample feed a little easier. Would have been nice to grow some grass, but I guess we will survive another year.

As I take a look at the sale offering, I see as uniform a group as we have ever offered. We feel there is loads of muscle expression, length, depth and pigment in the sale offering. The bull calves are young however don’t let their ages deter you. They have tons of potential! Our purebred herd is run as close to a commercial operation as possible so they can perform under all types of management. The yearling bulls and heifers run out on grass from end of May to sometime in August before preparing them for the sale. The bull calves were weaned on September 15th. Buy with confidence as there are cattle in the offering that will move your programs forward and add value to your end product.

As current conditions are definitely different, we hope you will still join us on January 28th. We will be following current AHS policies that day and will ensure everyone stays healthy! However if you feel uncomfortable attending, the sale will once again be broadcasted live on DLMS as well as a very competent sales team is available to assist. T he Brost Family TERMS & CONDITIONS Terms are cash or cheque sale day unless prior arrangements have been made. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made. No invoices will be provided for buyers in attendance unless prior arrangements have been made. Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in case of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds.

PHONE, MAIL, WIRE BIDS Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone, wire or mail their bids to the auctioneer or special representatives. Bids must be received in sufficient time prior to the sale.

CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Hereford Asso-

ciation. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.

GUARANTEE Each animal becomes the purchaser’s risk immediately after the animal is sold. Females have been pregnancy tested safe and are considered breeders without any further guarantee. Bull calves, if failing to become breeders, will be replaced or credit given for the purchase of a replacement.

LIABILITY All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The owners, their employees, sales staff, representatives and facility owner assume no liability, legal or otherwise, should any accidents occur.

DELIVERY Delivery will be at cost and the buyer’s risk, should the buyer

choose delivery. Assistance will be provided for arranging delivery of cattle. Export cattle will have all necessary health testing performed. Other costs (i.e. brokerage, etc.) will be the responsibility of the purchaser.

INSURANCE Agents will be in attendance to insure your purchases. We strongly recommend that purchases are insured for full value.

ERRORS All announcements at sale time, written or oral, supersede any written material in the catalogue.

BULL WINTERING We will winter your bull purchase. There will be a $250 charge payable sale day. All bulls wintered MUST be insured. Buyers choosing to take their bull home sale day will receive a $250 discount.

Heed is a very powerful young herd sire in the making. Displaying a big hip and very deep middled, he is a genetically predictable young sire. These two guys are extremely hard to pick apart. If you want them stout with tons of muscle shape, take a good look here! The lot 3 bullâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s mother produced the high selling Polled two year old to Lost River Ranch last year. Note he is the youngest calf in the sale offering. 39H is from a line of cows that will lower birth weights. She has had 3 bull calves all making the sale with less than a 90 pound birth weight.
