We believe in the life-changing power of education.
We graduate young men and women of competence, compassion, and conscience – committed to leadership and service – through dedication to academic excellence and the development of the whole person.
We help shape futures, build community, and carry forward a legacy of opportunity.
This evening, we come together in the spirit of tradition, united as a community to champion Tuition Assistance. Let’s raise our paddles to say, “Count me in,” and Empower Possibilities!

SAINT ROBERT BELLARMINE AWARD
MARY BYRNE B’79
Tonight, we are honored to present the Saint Robert Bellarmine Award to Mary Byrne B’79 in recognition of her committed service, leadership, and lifelong dedication to Bellarmine’s mission.
As a member of Bellarmine’s first coeducational class, Mary forged an enduring bond with the school, exemplifying what it means to be a true servant leader. Through her professional achievements and philanthropic dedication, she reflects and amplifies the values of a Catholic, Jesuit education, and continues to inspire us.
A passionate advocate for Bellarmine, Mary has long demonstrated steadfast leadership and service to the Bellarmine community. In addition to her six years of service on the Bellarmine Board of Directors and current tenure on the Advancement Committee, Mary has been a strong advocate for tuition assistance for decades. Since 2020, Mary has brought her energy and warmth to the Bellarmine Gala as its Emcee, while also serving as an active member on the Gala Committee. Her commitment to this signature event began long before its current form, as she played a key role in its predecessor, the annual auction, serving on the event board as a member, President, and Auction Co-Chair.
In recognition of her devoted volunteer service, Mary was awarded the Father Sneeringer Award in 2011.
Her leadership extends beyond her professional career as Mary serves as Board President of the South Sound CARE Foundation and volunteers with The Coffee Oasis.
SAINT ROBERT BELLARMINE AWAR
Mary and her husband, Kevin, will celebrate 40 wonderful years of marriage this year and are the proud parents of two Bellarmine graduates, James B’07 and Chase B’14.
Mary, thank you for your extraordinary generosity of spirit and selfless commitment to Bellarmine’s mission, strengthening our community in lasting ways.

Only Fund-a-Need gifts with no tangible benefit to the donor can be paid with a Donor-Advised Fund.
AUCTIONRULES
11. No items will be released from item pick-up without a “paid” receipt, which will be provided at checkout following payment in full. Envelopes containing gift certificates should be checked carefully before departing the event.
12. All items must be removed from Bellarmine on the evening of the auction Items too large to take on auction night may be picked up from Bellarmine’s Advancement Office beginning at 9 am on Monday, March 2. The winning bidder must email gala@bellarmineprep.org or call 253-752-7701 ext. 896, to coordinate a pickup time.
13. Bellarmine has endeavored to catalog and describe the property correctly, but all property is sold “as is.” No statements contained in the catalog, bidding site, or made verbally at the time of sale or elsewhere shall be deemed a warranty, representation, or assumption of liability.
14 The values listed are estimates only and are provided by the donors of the auction items. Bellarmine encourages all donors to consult IRS Revenue Ruling 67-246 and their tax consultant or attorney concerning the tax deductibility of gifts to this event.
15. Each person bidding assumes all risks and hazards related to the auction and items obtained at the auction. Each bidder agrees to hold harmless from any liability arising directly or indirectly from the auction, Bellarmine, its elected and appointed officials, members, and employees, the auctioneer(s), the event organizers, sponsors, and/or volunteers connected with the auction
16. All certificates have no cash value. If lost or stolen, certificates cannot be replaced.
17. Bellarmine reserves the right to withdraw any item prior to the start of the bidding.
LiveAuction
1.The auctioneer will recognize the highest bid. A bid number called out binds the bidder to the purchase of that item if their number is the final bid.
2.The auctioneer has final authority to determine the successful bidder.
3.Winning bidders for the Live Auction must sign a 2026 Bellarmine Gala bidder commitment form. The winning bidder should verify that the bid number, amount, and item descriptions are correct at that time. A signature constitutes a legal contract to buy.
4 Should a bidder refuse to sign the bidder form, the item will be returned to the auctioneer and resold immediately

Five generations of the Swanes family have owned and operated Northern Fish Products, Inc. The business was purchased in 1912 by Johannes Swanes, a Norwegian immigrant. His purchase included a horse and a wagon for distributing fresh fish. From this humble beginning, we have become one of the premier suppliers of fish and seafood in the Pacific Northwest. Northern Fish is one of the oldest family-owned and operated businesses in Washington state.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've got anyway
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God; It was never between you and them anyway
