Bellahouston Harriers
Amateur running club based in the Southside of Glasgow. Est. 1892. Welcoming runners of all paces.
We train on Tuesday & Thursday at 6:30 pm.
Bellahouston Harriers, established in 1892, commemorates its 132nd anniversary this year. While the club’s history is rich, its true essence lies in the dedicated community of runners who consistently participate in races, turn up for training every week, volunteer at our numerous events and get togethers, and promote the club's achievements.
Beyond the people, the club's identity is embodied in its logo, vest, and various mediums such as websites, social media, printed materials, and training gear. As the 132nd anniversary unfolds, the club seized the opportunity to assess its identity through a graphic rationalisation exercise.

Our new club badge. Including the club name, motto & date established. The specified typography is a bold, contemporary interpretation of late 1900s era-specific fonts, originally designed, cut and moulded in metal by type foundries based in Glasgow .

Bitstream Romana Regular
The French interest in the revival of suitably edited Oldstyle romans as an alternative to a world of Modern typefaces started in 1846 when Louis Perrin cut the Lyons capitals. About 1860, as Phemister was cutting the Miller & Richard Old Style in Edinburgh, Theophile Beaudoire turned the idea of the Lyons capitals into a complete Oldstyle typeface, with similar overwhelming success.
Used for main headings and key messaging to ensure brand consistency and recognition.
