Your Legacy Planned gifts are a deeply personal decision, and we are grateful for your consideration. They are a thoughtful way to continue your legacy and philanthropic interests while also providing certain tax benefits to you or your heirs.

If you are considering a legacy gift, always consult a lawyer or financial advisor about the type of gift that’s right for you and how to set it up. If your present will already meets your needs, you can make a bequest to Sanford by having a codicil added by a professional. We are happy to provide a list of recommended estate attorneys.

Types of Legacy Gifts A bequest in a will or trust (such as a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate, or specific assets) A charitable remainder trust or charitable lead trust Full, partial, or contingent/alternate beneficiary on a life insurance policy or a retirement account Beneficiary or successor of a Donor Advised Fund
