Business Analytics Organizations today are discovering new ways to collect and use data. Business analytics is the iterative exploration and investigation of an organization’s data. Business analytics involves the application of analytical models and decision-support tools to gain insight and improve data-driven business decisions. Applications of business analytics span all functional areas, including marketing, operations, product and technology innovations, financial services, and human resource management. The study of business analytics prepares students for careers broadly referred to under the heading “data science.”

Belk Scholars Program in Business Analytics UNC Charlotte’s Belk Scholars Program in Business Analytics is a fast-track curriculum that enables graduates to pursue lucrative, high-demand careers in business analytics. Part of the University’s Data Science Initiative, this program allows high-achieving students the opportunity to earn a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in five years. Niblock Student Center Robert A. Niblock is the Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President of Lowe’s Companies, Inc. Niblock holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Belk College of Business at UNC Charlotte. Early Entry to Graduate School Students in the Belk College can apply for early entry into graduate programs including the M.S. in Economics, the M.S. in Mathematical Finance or the M.S. in Data Science and Business Analytics.

Selected students gain provisional acceptance to these graduate programs to register and begin to take graduate courses as an undergraduate student.
