Register online at www.bedfordrecreation.org or in person, by mail or by fax. A registration form is in this brochure for non-online registration. Tuition must be paid at the time of registration. We do not prorate. We accept VISA, MasterCard, AmEx and Discover. Checks should be made payable to the Town of Bedford. There is a $25 penalty fee for returned checks. Those requiring special assistance, please contact the Recreation Director. Transportation, when provided, will be by Bedford Charter unless otherwise noted. Financial Aid For consideration, please submit the Financial Assistance Form and Registration Form. Forms can be found on our website or scan the QR code.
Bedford Recreation Scholarship Fund: In order to continue offering quality programs at affordable costs, please consider donating to our scholarship fund. Bedford Recreation's goal is never to turn away an interested participant due to economic hardship. With your help of $5, $10, $25 (or more!), we will be able to continue this practice.
Refund/Cancellation Policy Notice must be given 5 business days’ prior to program start for refund. If the required notice is given refunds will be issued less 10% of the cost of the program. Medical refunds given after a program has begun will be prorated and the 10% fee will be charged. Other exceptions are noted in program descriptions.

BHS Marching Band and local organizations turn The Great Road into a sea of color and excitement for Bedford Day! The parade begins at the intersection of the Great Road and Loomis Street and proceeds north on the Great Road and finishes at Mudge Way.
Arrival after 6:00 PM. Best Viewing Area: Fields Between High School and Town Hall. Fireworks are launched from the John Glenn Middle School. Final details will be posted closer to the event.

Bedford day 5K
HEALTH DEPARTMENT OFFERING FLU VACCINATIONS: The Bedford Health Department is offering flu vaccinations for Bedford community members ages 3 years and older at Bedford Day, on September 19th from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, by appointment in the white tent behind Town Center building. Both standard and high dose (65 years+) flu vaccine will be available. FluMist (flu vaccine nasal spray) will not be offered at the clinic as the vaccine won’t be available to Health Department until late September. In order to attend, you must have received a flu vaccine in the past. Please bring insurance card to your appointment and wear clothing that allows for easy access to your upper arm. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. The link to register for an appointment will be available on the Health Department’s webpage in late August at https://tinyurl.com/mv4h5hbb. Additional vaccine clinics will be announced at a later date by the Health Department.

Scoops Lacrosse (Ages 3-6) Instructor: Scoops Lacrosse Coaches Scoops Lacrosse will be running a 5-week super fall clinic open to boys and girls ages 3-6, Scoops Clinics are designed for kids who are interested in learning about lacrosse and learning the skills in a fun and welcoming environment. Kids will be broken into different groups based on age and/or skill levels. As long as numbers permit. Most importantly, Scoops Clinics are designed for maximum amounts of fun, confidence building, and pure lacrawsomeness. The only equipment necessary is a lacrosse stick. We are pad free at Scoops. Instructor: Chip in Farm Join our farmers to help care for the baby goats, cows, and miniature horses at Chip in Farm! Lil’ Sports (Ages 2-5 Years) Instructor: Lil Sports Staff Lil Sports creates a safe environment for young children to learn basic sports skills and to gain exposure to a wide range of sports. Music Together (Ages 0-4) Instructor: Little Moon Music, Venus Armendia Music Together is an early childhood music program where children and their parents/caregivers make music as a community using their voices and bodies. Each class includes singing, dancing, clapping, and playing percussion instruments. Full parent/caregiver participation is essential to help children build tonal and rhythmic skills while joyfully making music together. Preschool Soccer with Soccer Shots (Ages 18 Mos-4 Years) Instructor: Soccer Shots Soccer Shots is an engaging children’s soccer program with a focus on character development. Our caring team positively impacts children’s lives on and off the field through best-in-class coaching, curriculum and communication. 18-24 Mos. 9:00-9:30 AM This new program is a fun and interactive introduction to soccer, helping children develop coordination, balance, and listening skills through imaginative play, music, and positive encouragement.
Soccer Shots Mini (Ages 2-3) 9:40-10:10 AM Soccer Shots Mini is a highenergy program that introduces young children to basic soccer skills like using their feet, dribbling, and simple rules—through fun games, songs, and positive reinforcement.
Soccer Shots Classic Hybrid (Ages 3-4) 10:20-11:00 AM The hybrid program will focus on passing and shooting. We also highlight a positive character trait each session such as respect, teamwork and appreciation. We use a progression for the scrimmages at the end of each session.

Soccer Stars Thursday Preschool Soccer (Ages 2-5) Instructor: Super Soccer Stars At Soccer Stars, we use the soccer ball as the vehicle to help children improve their soccer skills, develop self-confidence and physical literacy, improve gross motor skills, and hone socialization skills. Our dynamic coaches help to develop these skills and teamwork in a fun, nurturing, and educational environment. Classes are progressive and each lesson has been developed to teach age appropriate activities. We have programs for all ages and stages! A fun and welcoming introduction to baseball for preschoolers! Tim and his team of energetic, experienced coaches guide young players through the basics of the game. Children will build skills through a variety of age-appropriate drills and activities that make learning baseball exciting and engaging. Skills will then be practiced in modified games designed just for this age group. Parent participation is required. Creative Dance (Ages 2.5-5) Instructor: Karrie Mason Creative Dance is part of our school-year-long Recreation Dance Program. Registration for this program is currently open. This is a fun and instructional dance program offered by the Bedford Recreation Department. The program will teach the fundamentals of dance and culminate with a recital in early-May. All classes will take place in the Russo Room (2nd Floor) at 12 Mudge Way in Bedford. Specific footwear and apparel requirements will be communicated closer to the start of the program. Lil Ninja (Ages 3-5) Instructor: Knucklebones Does your child love to run, jump, climb, and tumble? Then our play on American Ninja Warrior is the perfect class. Each week, children will participate in stretching, elements, obstacles, and games to help develop gross motor skills. From swinging on a high bar to balance beams, climbing structures and tumbling on mats, to leaping into a ball pit - your child is sure to have a blast…for the love of play! Join us for a calming, sensory-friendly hour designed to support children of all abilities and their families. This Inclusive Meet & Greet provides a therapeutic, low-stimulus environment where children can explore and play at their own pace, while parents and caregivers connect, share experiences, and build community. Need to Extend Your Child’s School Day? These before- and after-school programs are designed specifically for Davis and Lane School students, making it easy to add fun, enriching activities to your child's day. Morning Programs Students will attend the program before school and will be escorted directly to their classrooms when it ends. Afternoon Programs Students will be dismissed from their classrooms directly to the program. Please note that parents/guardians are responsible for prompt pick-up at the program's scheduled end time. Kids' Club Combo (Grades 3–5, when available) For children enrolled in Kids' Club, transportation may be available from the program to Kids' Club at Lane School. Learn the sport of tennis from Kyle Anderson and his staff. Coach Kyle is a PTR and USTA certified instructor who has 26 years of full time experience instructing individuals and groups. This six-week program is designed to teach the mechanics of ground stroke, volleys, serves and rallying skills. It is intended to introduce younger players to the fundamentals of strokes. Chip in Farm No School Day Program (Grades K-3) Instructor: Chip in Farm Join Chip-in Farmers and experience life on a real working farm. Children will participate in in farm chores such as feeding and caring for the animals and searching for chicken eggs. Instructor: Roman Music Therapy Music Therapy employs creative musical interventions to address communication, comprehension, and socialization challenges faced by school-age children with disabilities. These interventions have been demonstrated to enhance recall and comprehension, facilitate communication and expression, foster self-regulation, support executive functioning skills, and promote social development. This interactive and engaging group will be led by a Board Certified Music Therapist, who will guide participants through music and movement, songwriting, instrument playing, and adaptive music learning experiences tailored to their musical and nonmusical growth. GRADES 3-8 Players have one practice per week and one game per week. Practice format, schedule and team roster will be announced mid-November. All players in grades 3-8 must attend evaluations to create balanced teams.

EVALUATION INFORMATION (GRADES 3-8): To ensure proper balance of the teams, players in Grades 3-8 MUST attend evaluations. Player should wear sneakers and BRING A BASKETBALL to evaluations. *Evaluation dates and times may changed depending on enrollment numbers/gym availability. Evaluations will be held in early-November. Dates will be announced closer to the start of the season.
Bauman Basketball League
Meets one weeknight per week. Consists of skills, drills and scrimmages/games. Team rosters and schedules will be announced in November.
