This document details The Bedford Sixth Form’s current position in response to the current alert levels set by the government. These steps will be adapted and shared again in September following precautionary measures being put in to place over the summer break.

The Bedford Sixth Form position on easing steps (This is the current position for over the summer and will be updated before September) Learning on campus The Bedford Sixth Form closed except for students that are vulnerable, on an EHC plan or whose parents are critical to the Covid-19 response and are not safe at home. Students to continue their learning via online.
The Bedford Sixth Form closed except for the groups at Stage 5. Exams and assessments for small numbers will be accommodated where no alternative is available (you will be notified if this applies to you).
Limited numbers of students will return to campus at any one time for faceto-face learning to support their online studies. The majority of the knowledge and theory elements will continue to be delivered online. From September this will be a blended model of learning in the class and online for theory.
Reduced number of students will return to the Sixth Form at any one time allowing onsite lessons with opportunities to continue learning online. Social distancing guidance will be upheld across all sites with timetables reflecting this.
Full return to the Sixth Form for the majority of students.

The Bedford Sixth Form remain closed with exceptions made for assessments and exams on prior arrangement only. All learning remains online.
