New look campus at Wellingborough takes shape Cladding work begins at the new look campus

£10 MILLION WELLINGBOROUGH CAMPUS REDEVELOPMENT The Bedford College Group has been awarded £7.5 million from SEMLEP's local growth fund in addition to the Group's own resources to redevelop Tresham College’s Wellingborough campus.

Opening to students in September 2020, the redeveloped campus, located in the heart of Wellingborough town centre, will enable 1,000 additional students to study locally. Not just young people but also adult students who want to expand their skills or change careers.

EXPANDING A-LEVEL SUCCESS Building on the success of The Bedford Sixth Form, established in 2012.

The Bedford College Group is now planning to offer students in Northamptonshire similar Sixth Form opportunities. A period of extensive community consultation and research is currently underway to ensure this facility meets the needs of local people.

Biome opened as part of the ZEC at Shuttleworth in September 2019

£4 MILLION ZOOLOGICAL EDUCATION CENTRE Shuttleworth College campus will host its official opening of its new Zoological Education Centre in Spring 2020.

Having enrolled its first students in September 2019, it includes an ‘Eden style’ biome with tropical rainforest setting, immersive bio-sphere and a wide range of species. Conservation and care are the key priority, enabling students to learn how to support and care for endangered species. The Centre will put Shuttleworth College firmly on the world map in terms of the unique education experience offered to students.
