Mother’s Day is one of my favorite celebrations. I am a mom of four children and it is my greatest reward and title I will ever own.
I love to have a day where mothers are recognized so that children get to show up for them through a hand made gift or a card with sweet words. They pause to see us and acknowledge us for our unwavering love and I believe this is so important for us as moms and for our children.
I spend most of my days second guessing myself as a mom. Am I doing enough? I am doing too much? Am I too easy on them or taking things too seriously? Am I present or am I distracted? If you are a mom, you know what I mean.
I have been raising babies and businesses for nineteen years. I have done much really well and yet I still have had moments where I still feel the residue of shame for my behavior Life! The one thing I know for sure is that most of what I have done and my driving force and the “why” behind all I do is for them.
Being a Mompreneur or a working mom is extremely challenging. We have been taught and the expectation has been set, that to be an exceptional mom means we should sacrifice or give up large parts of ourselves. It is often thought that the more we sacrifice, the greater the moms we are. It can become a badge of martyrdom and victimhood that we have worn and allowed to be part of our thinking for as long as we can go back Shifting this paradigm is the call for our generation to hold and achieve.

We can only do this by giving ourselves permission to be all of who we are meant to be along side of raising our children. We can be the evidence that it is not one or the other.
Connection
The first step is to recognize that the most loving and generous thing we can do for our children is to show them the fullness of who we are and to honor ourselves through radical love and responsibility I want my daughters to see their mom living out her purpose and dreams while also deeply caring for herself and being there for them
My hope is, that once they become moms, their purpose expands and does not shrink and that as a woman they can have the audacity to do absolutely anything their hearts desire. I want my sons to see a woman who is unleashed and free from needing a man to provide and hope they learn how to encourage, expect and lead a woman into her true essence and authenticity This is a huge call for us as moms. We must break the ties to what no longer fits and beliefs that have expired
To be a mompreneur or working mom today is to stand up and declare that you have more capacity than you ever thought possible, that you are committed to an all-in life and that you are a woman who can hold many things for ultimate fulfillment We are eradicating sacrificial living once and for all for ourselves, the generations before and the ones following So, this Mother’s Day gets to have an enormous intention
Let’s be fully available to our desires, to our calling, to our health, to our healing, to our legacy, to our families and to everyone who has the privilege of knowing us and seeing us We are about to take up the space our hearts have been crying for Our children will not be hurt by us being all of ourselves but instead will be better served by a gorgeous example

IknewIwasmovingawayfromaverysuccessful personalbrandintobuildingagloballyrecognized company.Isatwithwhattonameitforalongtime. Iconickeptdroppinginoverandoveragain.Iwas soresistanttoitbecauseIdidn’tidentifyas someonewhowasiconic,myreligiousupbringing hadanegativeconnotationandIdidn’tknowifit wouldlandforotherwomen.Godhelpedtoerase thesehesitationsandIbelieveIwasaskedtogive thisincrediblewordanewmeaningandfeeling.
WhileataretreatinCaliforniainJanuary2020, someonesuggested'BecomeIconic’anditwaslike electricitythroughmywholebodywhenI responded“itiscalledBecomingIconic”!The becomingforourfullestandmostexpandedversion ofourselvesaswomen.Thereisnodestinationand insteadadeepsenseofcommitmentforthe continuedevolutionofourcapacity,strength, wisdomandcontributiontotheworld.
