We first met Kenton Hopkins in the summer of 1999, via the Internet. After renting condominiums in Beaver Creek for several years, we decided that we would like to consider buying a unit. As we had no previous experience with real estate in the Vail Valley, we needed to find someone who could help us. I visited the Slifer Smith & Frampton web site and selected Kenton, based primarily on his extensive experience and that he actually lived in Beaver Creek. I sent Kenton an EMAIL describing our requirements and asked him if he would be interested in helping us find a home in Beaver Creek. He quickly returned my EMAIL, offering to help and asked a number of questions to help narrow the search. We visited the Vail Valley in August 1999 and met with Kenton several times. We visited about six properties, all of which met our basic criteria. By the end of our five-day visit, we had found our home and made an offer, which was accepted the next day. Kenton did a fantastic job of finding appropriate available properties, helping us analyze our options, and assisting us in executing the transaction. We found the entire process to be highly professional and very efficient. Although we loved our new home in Beaver Creek, we found that we needed more space. Our daughter had decided to attend a university in Colorado and would, no doubt, be a frequent visitor along with friends. Again, we asked Kenton to help us find a larger home. During a visit to Beaver Creek in July 2000, Kenton showed us about six properties that he thought would meet the specific criteria that we had developed. By the end of the day, we had found the perfect home, made an offer, and arranged for our other unit to be listed. We were able to close on our new home by the end of the summer and our other home was sold in December 2000. Again, Kenton made the whole process of buying and selling very efficient and hassle free. Kenton is the consummate professional, who has an extensive knowledge of the local real estate market, the ability to analyze the client’s requirements, and a superb attention to details. The net result is a very efficient use of the client’s time.
