Keep your hard flooring looking its best!
Each hard flooring type has its own unique properties and materials, but all are very straightforward and easy to clean. Below are some general tips to keep your floor looking its best:

Floor Protection
◊ Use appropriate window coverings, such as drapes, window treatments, or UV-tinting on windows, to protect the product from direct sunlight and long-term exposure to intense heat.
◊ Door mats are a must have outside any entrance to catch dust and grit before it makes its way into your home. Do not use indoor mats with latex or rubber backing since these backings can cause permanent discolouration.
◊ Use felt gliders under your furniture to prevent potential scratching.
◊ Equip wheeled-type office chairs and other rolling furniture with wide-surface casters at least 5cm in diameter.
◊ Avoid damage caused by high heel shoes and work boots.
◊ Keep spare planks (if possible) to replace damaged flooring.
General Care
◊ Remove surface dirt and dust regularly using a vacuum cleaner with soft bristle head or sweep with a soft bristle broom. Do not use a vacuum equipped with a beater bar.
◊ Wipe up spills immediately with an absorbent cloth.
◊ Clean with a damp mop and cleaning solution suited to your flooring material (we recommend BONA floor care products).
◊ Never use abrasive or acidic cleaners as they can damage the surface of your flooring.
Steam Mops for Hybrid & Water-Resistant Laminate
◊ Steam mops are a hygienic option for cleaning WaterResistant Laminate and Hybrid flooring, but they are NOT suitable for the entire Hard Flooring range.
◊ GOOD NEWS, the use of residential steam mops on these ranges is allowed. Use the steam mop at the lowest power with a suitable soft pad, and do not hold it on one spot for an extended period of time (longer than 30 seconds). Refer to the mop’s manufacturer instructions for proper usage.
