Bathroomware care & maintenance

Keep your bathroom and wet areas looking their best!

Congratulations - your tapware is installed and looking stunning. Here are some helpful tips to keep them looking their best!

Tapware

GENERAL CARE & MAINTENANCE

Wash only with a mild soap or mild detergent and warm water. Rinse with water and dry the surface with a clean, soft cloth around the tapware and the base to prevent any residue build up. Wipe gently, no undue pressure is required.

For our Colour Finished Tapware we recommend extra care be taken. Use of wax-based furniture cream should be avoided as these can result in a build-up of deposits, which could detract from the appearance and damage colours.

The aerator in the tapware must be cleaned. We recommend undertaking cleaning every 4 to 6 months. To ensure a stable water flow please make sure you have a stable water pressure for 500KPA. No harsh detergents for cleaning at any time.

THINGS NOT TO DO

◊ Do not use any abrasive metallic souring pads or steel wool pads, harsh detergents, solvents, bleaches, drain cleaning products, acidic cleaners, citrus based cleaners, lime scale removers, household vinegar, cleaning agents containing acetic acid or any other harsh liquids or agents as these products will dull and tarnish the finish. It could lead to staining or discolouration.

◊ Under no circumstances should tapware be installed using silicone.

Stainless Steel Sinks

Stainless steel sinks are made of 304 series alloy stainless, which is the most common form of stainless steel used around the world, largely due to its excellent corrosion resistance. It contains between 16 and 24 percent chromium and up to 35 percent nickel. Our polished finish with enduring, easy-to-clean lustre is resistant to water stains and calcium deposits, as too is our Matt Black Stainless-Steel Sink.

GENERAL CARE & MAINTENANCE

◊ After use, wash with a mild soap or mild detergent and warm water, rinse thoroughly with fresh tap water. Wipe the sink dry with a clean, soft cloth. For heavier cleaning, use a paste of bicarbonate soda or a soft bristle brush. Rub in the direction of the polished surface as softly as possible. Normally sink does not rust, if something external has caused rust on the surface, a soft scrub with a little bit bleach will be effective at removing the rust, then rinse thoroughly.

SCRATCHES

◊ Scratches are inevitable in any sink material, including stainless steel sinks. It is recommended to purchase a custom sink grid to protect against scratches. In regards to stainless steel, most minor scratches can be softened with a soft scour pad. For severe scratches, secure a pumice rubbing compound from a hardware store, and follow the directions on the package.

Granite Sinks

Granite sinks are made from a combination of highgrade acrylic resins and quartz granite particles to produce a hardened quality composite with a silkysmooth finish. Granite sinks are extremely durable, heat resistant, scratch resistant, stain resistant and impact resistant. The surface hardness is far higher than the daily utensils used in kitchen. With no pores on the surface they are hygienic, antibacterial, and odourless.
