Ginnie O’Brien Record ’66 – New York Harbour in 1976

1957 Roberta Mastny Wingerter ’57 called to report that her husband Gene passed away suddenly on January 5th.

1966 Hi, Class of ’66! Well, this has been a busy late-Winter-Spring for yours truly.

I have been traveling a lot to visit friends and family – two trips to the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont to see my son, a glorious two weeks in Paris and the South of France (Villefrranche-sur-Mer) to visit college buds who relocated last September, and a short hop to New York City to celebrate a 65th birthday.

I am back now for the duration until 1

September when I hope to see many of you at our upcoming reunion festivities.

As we look to America’s 250th Birthday, I am reminded of the celebration we had 50 years ago (!!!) for the Bicentennial.

We celebrated on a pier in New York Harbor that Rutgers University leased and watched the tall ships come into the harbor while snacking on hot dogs and sipping wine. It was a glorious day, but I can scarcely believe that it was 50 years ago, and here we are about to celebrate our country’s 250th and our 60th high school reunion. We haven’t changed one iota, right? (Except maybe our fashion and hairstyles.) Hope to see you in September. Meantime, have a wonderful summer. Barbara Eby Puhl My husband, Corky and I celebrated our 55th wedding anniversary in February. We live in Beaufort, SC during the winter months and in Marblehead, on Lake Erie, during the summer months. We enjoy 9 amazing grandkids that all live near each other in Hudson and Silver Lake.

We are truly blessed.

Susan Kugler Weitzel Retired to Travelers Rest, SC

Jane Gauntner Ryan Dan and I are fortunate to have been married 56 years and live in Dublin, OH. We have 4 daughters, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. We are anxious to travel to Italy shortly after my 60th (Yikes!) Beaumont Reunion.

I very often remember my special years at Beaumont!

Fran Ulrich reports that volunteer work keeps her busy at the Cleveland Museum of Art and Manakiki Golf course. She says that the former feeds her soul and mind and that the other is designed for her health and beauty.

She also says that she really loves both for the social contact and new friends.

were Karen Bartko Reming, Barb Monroe, Mary Beth Jamieson DiCorpo, Mary Roncagli Johnson, Cindy Ginal Maurer, Mary Sciotto Novotny and Mary Cay Powers McConnell.

Pat Connelly Dubiel’s husband Phil retired in the Spring and they are looking forward to spending well-deserved r&r on their boat.

Maryellen Amato Stratmann, M.D. and her husband visited the Grand Canyon, rocks and rattlesnakes in Albuquerque, Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Route 66 Museum and Will Rogers Museum in Oklahoma, Garden of the Gods outside Colorado Springs, Oak Creek Canyon, Cathedral of the Plains and the Wizard of Oz Museum in Kansas.

Lynn Traxler Gilligan had an amazing vacation in Australia and Bali to usher in the New Year with son Steve. And she spent a great Mother’s Day weekend in Colorado with son Rob. Peggy Wood Van Dyke and husband Jim welcomed their fourth grandchild in February, granddaughter Margaret (Maggie) Jane.

Mary Beth Walton Guzzo is planning her next exotic adventure. After traveling to Egypt last Fall, her next destination is Tanzania and a wildlife safari next Spring.

Adrianne Senft Kohn spent Spring break on Fripp Island, SC, with her daughter, son-in-law, sister Jeannine Senft Julian 1976, brother-in-law and her two grandkids Maddy and James. Life at the beach is always a good idea!

Her Girl Scout troop held their Bridging Ceremony in May where six Daisies advanced to Brownies, including Maddy.

Troop 299 also surprised Adrianne with a Girl Scout Lifetime Membership.

Beaumont’s 175th Birthday Bash was held on Friday, June 5th. Representing our class were Mary Beth Guzzo, Tess

Plenty of Mary Beth’s cousins (Waltons, Hawkins and Angelottas) were in attendance. There are also three Ursulines in the family. Mary Beth’s brother Jack and sister-in-law Jeanette were Presenting Sponsors of the event where a substantial amount of money was raised for Beaumont. Thank you all!

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Pamela Kikeli in April after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Our deepest sympathies go out to Mary Cay McConnell on the loss of her sister, Jeanne Nye Biada on the loss of her husband, Ellen O’Haire Celmer on the loss of her sister and Juliana Scurec Barnick on the loss of her mom.

May they rest in peace.

Our class has a prayer group on messenger called Beaumonster Warriors.

We originally formed when Pat Dubiel’s granddaughter was diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer at the age of 6.

We prayed really hard along with her entire support network and through the grace of God Maisie got her miracle!

So if you have a prayer request, a special intention, a need for support or would

like to be a Warrior, please reach out.

We are here for whatever you need!

Please continue to pray for our classmates and their families, especially those facing difficult health challenges.

1973 Annie Carcioppolo Kachurek Everyday is a blessing. I am enjoying retirement. I traveled to Sicily in the fall with my husband Bob. I spend lots of time attending my grandkids’ school and sporting events (I have 8) I am social justice advocate and activist.

I recently traveled to Montgomery with one of the original foot soldiers (Diane Harris) who crossed the Edmund Pettus Bridge on Bloody Sunday.

Pamela Peebles Smith After my husband passed away, I have moved to a new zip code. I had been in the same zip code for over 30 years.

Bittersweet times as I continue on seeking God’s will in my life and enjoying my family and hopefully travel.

Maribeth Gavin Wuertz My husband, Bill, and I established a non-profit charity, Alex’s Way in memory of our daughter, Alex Wuertz 2017. We wanted to do something meaningful in her memory.

We established the non-profit charity, Alex’s Way to finance behavioral health therapy for families who cannot afford it. We also developed an educators program, in partnership with a therapy center. This educational workshop utilizes strategies to enhance the skills educators are using day-to-day with their students, especially those struggling with behavioral health challenges. We provide this program to schools at no cost to them. Recently we presented our program at Beaumont. alexs-way.org Also, a shout out of thanks to Caroline Reese Fazio for all the fun activities she has planned to bring classmates together. All are welcome!

Barbara Schade Ferraro reports that she is a full time resident of Naples, FL and no longer owns up north. We do usually spend a few months in New England. Our daughter Clare and family live in CT, (3 grandchildren). Our son Danny and his wife live in MA where we base ourselves in their guest house for a few months.

1974 Teri Ianni-My grandbabies doing well, twin girls, Sophia and Millie will be 2 yrs old in September and Grandson, Anothony turned 1 years old this past April 3, 2026. I’m still working, playing tennis, swimming, walking, and volunteering in little Nirvana – Gates Mills Gina Restifo Dalessandro: So many wonderful connections were made at our Class of 74, 50th reunion. It was that weekend that a few of us discovered that we were all Sicilian. Joyce Schafle had invited Gina Dalessandro to join a 3

Sicilian American Women’s Club. At the reunion, we also invited Teri Ianni, Carla Siracusa, and Joann Fazio to join us. So for the past year, we have been able to enjoy each other’s company once a month at our Sicilian American meetings and have even been able to meet in between. Many of us have visited Sicily and we have been able to we the north places of our family members. Gina introduced Teri to a contact in Palermo who arranged her trip and for her to explore her ancestry. We are truly enjoying, remembering our traditions and making new memories.

Congrats to Daphne Fulmore Evans 1975 for being named as a member of the Advisory Board for Dress for Success Cleveland.

1978 Congratulations to Diane Coviello Mackay. Diane received the Alice Paulus Award from the Gesu Women’s Guild.

The Guild recognized Diane’s strong commitment to her faith and service to Gesu Parish. Diane is a true woman for others.

Congratulations to all of you who are in the process of retiring! You have worked many years! Jobs well done!

1993 Jennifer Price Davis was chosen from several other artist by The Land Studio to do a mural in downtown Cleveland.

1999 and 2000 Class of 2000 Jackie Catanese Koene and Class of 1999 Molly Kohut Kometiani completed another year teaching together through the St. Michael’s Families Growing in Faith program. Their sons, John and George, who are in 5th and 4th grade were students of the class. With Jackie’s passion for sharing the gospel teamed up with Molly’s creative approach, they provided opportunity for service, spiritual journaling, and growth in prayer showcasing lessons from their Beaumont education in faith, service, and leadership.

Writing from Tiffin University, I will be continuing my education at the University of Akron to obtain my Masters of Arts in Strategic Communication. I am also in the process of publishing my first novel!

Bethany Garin First just completed my first year in my role as Head of Growth at Yogapalooza, sharing our music, movement, and mindfulness curriculum for early childhood.

Mateja Rudmann competed in the Ironman in Jacksonville, Florida, on Sat., May, 16th: she competed the race!

• The Bike: A 112-mile road cycling leg, often featuring elevation gains and testing the athlete's endurance and nutrition management.

• The Run: A standard marathon (26.2 miles) to close the event, forcing the body to perform after hours of exhausting activity.
