1956
Our deepest sympathy to Carol Hart Keck on the passing of her dearest fiancé and best friend Michael Johns.
Suzie Baird Fitgerald ’56 & Sheila Dunn Burke came to town recently.
Several classmates from the Beaumont class of 1956 had lunch at Hecks Restaurant.
Mary Anne Corlett Rotatori, Rosemarie Miceli Surace, Janet Neff Newsome, Dolores McDonnell Ritt, Peggy Conway McMullen, Marianne Rocco Walton, Diane Junglas Richardson, & Patricia Westropp. It was a special treat for this class to get together to celebrate their 65-year-old friendship!
Maria Schrembri Turk advises that the week before the holiday, her daughter Susan and her husband came in from New Jersey, and joined her family here, for a great get-together.
We hear that Sara Gill Cutting spent the holiday busy making dinner and entertaining her large family. They really enjoyed their time together. Sara is also busy as a trustee emeritus at her alma mater, Seton Hill University, as she was a trustee there for 12 years.
Pattie Minello Kirchner tells us that although she has loved living her whole life on the East side, when she moved to Avon Lake last year to be near her two daughters, she found that she liked it there too. The holiday was enjoyed at her daughter’s house where the family had a great time.
Sister Martha Mooney informs us that her sister-in-law, Renee Peterson Mooney, who lives in Florida, will be coming to Cleveland in June, for a few months.
1958
Members of the class of ’58 got together in April following the eclipse to gather for a luncheon. Those who attended were Mary O’Boyle, Carol Dowling Gallucci, Sara Gill Cutting, Patti Minello Kirchner, Martha Mooney, Sue Kurtz Cavanaugh and Mary Jo Abraham Antoon. Recently, with Memorial Day, many classmates celebrated the day with family and friends.
We hear from Peggy Opasker, that she and her four sisters and their husbands and families met together for the holiday and had an enjoyable time.
We hear from Carol Dowling Gallucci, that in the first week of June, her 5 children, 16 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren, will be gathering for a family event, and she is really looking forward to it.
Mary Jo Abraham Antoon spent part of Memorial Day at the University Hts parade with her family, and the grandkids had an especially fun time.
1964
Constance Hughes Brady husband, Francis J. Brady, passed away on August 19th, 2023. Francis was also the brotherin-law of Suzanne Hughes Rydel ’63,
Mary Alice Hughes Jones ’68, and Nancy Hughes Wallace ’71.
1972
Pat Connelly Dubiel and husband Phil traveled to Rome, Italy, in April with their 13-year-old twin grandsons. They went to St. Peter’s Basilica for Sunday Mass and were surprised when asked to bring up the gifts. They were seated in the front row with an amazing view. A Cardinal said the Mass with 50 priests and a beautiful choir. It was an honor of a lifetime! Tommy came home to an appendicitis, but he is doing great after surgery.
Maryellen Amato, now retired from her busy nuclear radiology practice, continues to enjoy working part-time as a certified Spiritual Director. She meets in person via FaceTime on iPhone, and there is no charge for Beaumont alums. She can be reached by email at meamato76@gmail.com if you would like to schedule a meeting with her. Maryellen’s sister, Patricia Amato, MD ’75 just returned from Lourdes where she worked as a pediatrician-volunteer with children and parents seeking Mary’s intercession. Maryellen and her husband celebrated her birthday with their Southern Atlantic States Tour with USA Tours. They visited Charleston, Savannah, Tybee Island, Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Memphis and Montgomery, just to name a few!
Mary Beth Walton Guzzo’s sister Susan Dickie '69 and her husband are in the process of buying a home in Cleveland and are hoping to have it finalized in July. Four out of six Waltons have returned to the Cleveland nest! Mary Beth’s mom turned 100 in March. They celebrated
in style with kids, grandkids and great grandkids in attendance. Congratulations and warm birthday wishes, Mrs. Walton!
Linda Zeleznik Knast and her husband winter in Florida – happy snowbirds! This past winter, she was lucky to catch up with Ann Hawkins and Kathy Simoson O’Brien on two separate occasions. Lynn says it was great to spend time with old friends in a beautiful warm place!
Mary Sciotto Novotny and her husband are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, they enjoyed everything Aruba has to offer – One Happy Island! Congratulations Mary and Fred!
This past April, Adrianne Senft Kohn and her sister Jeannine Julian ’76 planned and successfully held a surprise 40th birthday party for Adrianne’s daughter. From decorations to unexpected guests, the Sound of Music theme was complete with traditional Austrian food and drink and all their favorite things!
Our local classmates are hoping for a summertime lunch get-together. We have a reservation at Heck’s Restaurant in Beachwood, Ohio, on July 17th, 2024, at 12:00 noon. 1973
Annie Kachurek is the class representative for the Beaumont class of 1973. She and her classmate, Caroline Ress Fazio, have done a great job of getting their classmates together for frequent gatherings. Most recently the girls hiked the Brecksville Reservation and toured the Urban Community School, which was started by the Ursuline Sisters.

1986
Cathleen Fleck, PhD, currently serves as Chair of the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Saint Louis University. She is an art historian and has recently been promoted to Full Professor rank.
Traci Pinkney-Nichols has been working for the State at the Ohio Lottery Commission for 34 years. She is currently working as the Compliance and Procurement Manager for the Ohio lottery. She also got married during COVID on June 27th, 2020.

Three Beaumont Alum Mom’s, Maureen Parnin Sizemore ’86, Mary Ryan Walsh ’89, and Noreen DiSanto Woidke ’90, recently celebrated their sons graduating together from Saint Ignatius High School!
1991
Megan Baker Ruppel, MD an emerging leader and highly respected breast health specialist, will serve as the interim president and CEO of Roper St. Francis Healthcare, effective Dec. 3.
While we continue our national search for the next, full-time president and CEO, it is important that we have continuity and strong leadership, and Dr. Baker provides that. She and the Roper St. Francis Healthcare senior leadership team will align and collaborate closely with our health system owners, Bon Secours Mercy Health and the Medical Society of South Carolina, to focus on specific objectives during this interim period. These include advancing the Roper St. Francis Healthcare 2030 strategic plan priorities, strengthening the IPN operating model, and maximizing performance

financially and overall to ensure continued clinical and operational excellence.
Dr. Baker joined Roper St. Francis Healthcare in 2015 after 10 years as medical director of Comprehensive Breast Care at Hollings Cancer Center. She became one of our first Integrated Practice Network clinical leaders and brought a pioneering spirit to grow surgical volumes. As a physician leader, Dr. Baker has helped forge a new relationship with Charleston Oncology to enhance RSFH’s network of cancer providers, as well as assist in implementing clinical and testing protocols, recruiting physicians, advancing our robotic strategy, and representing the clinical perspective at the highest level of decision making. Dr. Baker will continue to see patients on a limited basis during her interim role.
Dr. Baker is a graduate of Columbia University and earned her medical degree at Wright State University School of Medicine. She completed her surgical residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, with additional training in oncoplastic breast surgery at Case Western Reserve University.
2007
Emily Rose still lives in Denver, CO with her husband, Jake, as well as her baby boy, Teddy, who was born this past January. Emily works as a pediatric occupational therapist and loves to continue learning in her field. She thanks Beaumont for giving her a great educational foundation!
2008
Katie Seringer Russell received the 2024 NCPDP Rising Star award, which is given to an individual in the pharmacy industry for rising above the norm.
Augusta Garofoli welcomed a future Beaumonster, Valentina Therese, to her family this past August. Her big brother Vincenzo (Vinnie) has been loving every second with her!
Rachel Kesselem recently joined a new company as Vice President or Growth & Strategy. She is very excited about the work

she gets to do, challenges she will face and overcome, and the ability to mentor and manage a young team new to their career or looking to be part of an up-and-coming company. Rachel is happy to be back in Cleveland, Ohio reconnecting with old friends and new!
2013
Mary Reagan Katzenstein and her husband Casey welcomed their daughter, Eleanor, to the world on March 16th, 2024.
Katie Streff and her husband recently moved back to Cleveland (University Heights) after living in Phoenix, AZ for over 7 years! Katie also just started a new job as an Assistant Manager at the Drury Inn & Suites located in Beachwood.
Chelsea Day Cooper graduated in 2023 from Case Western Reserve with her PhD in clinical psychology. She is currently completing a postdoctoral fellowship as a clinician at the Center for Emotional Wellness in Beachwood, OH.
2017
Galilea Castillo received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from John Carroll University in Spring of 2021. She then completed her Master of Science in Innovation and Entrepreneurship with a Concentration in Marketing in the Fall of 2022. Throughout her time as both an undergraduate and graduate student, she spent her free time working at Heinen’s in
Downtown, Cleveland as a Customer Service Representative.
Galilea’s hard work paid off following her Fall of 2022 Commencement, as she began working for KeyBank as a Rotational Digital Analyst. She has now been promoted to Product Manager at KeyBank within their Web and Mobile Online Banking services.
2020
Maggie McNulty graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in environmental policy as well as a two-time Newcomb Scholar, which means she was of the top 5 highest GPAs in her college.
Maggie will be beginning a full-time position as a project coordinator at ENGIE in the fall!
Greta Engel recently graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in April 2024 with a double major in Marketing and Environmental Science focusing on sustainability. She currently works at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens as the Membership and Marketing Administrator in the Center for Sustainable Learning, which is one of the most sustainable buildings in the world.
Nicolette Kelley recently graduated from Walsh University and is planning to get her master’s degree in occupational therapy from Walsh University as well. She begins her new program in the fall. Nicolette shadowed and received her letter of recommendation from the Occupational Therapist she spoke to at Beaumont School Career Day!
Alayna Sturgill recently graduated from Ohio State University Magna Cum Laude with a degree in civil engineering. She is moving to Richmond, Virginia to work with Delta Airport Consultants as an airport design engineer.
Halle Gavin recently graduated from Xavier University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She graduated Cum Laude and accepted a job at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center on their surgical oncology unit.
Helen Hoover recently graduated from Saint Louis University with her Bachelor of
Science in Nursing. She graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors and will be starting her new job on the Bone Marrow Transplant and Hematology/Oncology Units at St. Louis Children’s Hospital in August!
Abby Schneider is studying social work at Ohio State University. She is in the honors cohort in the schools’ program. Next year, she will be completing her research thesis through observing the relationship between period poverty and mental health in unhoused women in Columbus. She is also the recipient of the Undergraduate Honors Award, a scholarship for the school of Social Work at Ohio State.
