1956 Patty Westropp sends her deepest sympathy to Mary Anne Rotatori whose sister Marsha Corlett Sarakaitis 1957 passed away on February 11.

Pat writes Our 65th reunion was a huge success. Hard to believe it’s been that long.

Everyone looked fabulous!! Friday night at Beaumont was well attended. The catering was excellent. Stations with different food varieties for all!! Great music & lots of fun.

The weather was good for being outside.

Saturday night was the best. We had the patio at Burntwood Tavern They couldn’t have been more accommodating to us.

Several classmates came from out of town.

I was able to talk with Rita Mooney Parks from Texas, Kathy Heffernan & Marie Penote - Queenan. They all gave their best wishes but couldn’t attend. The Fabulous Fifties luncheon was also well attended. It was fun seeing classmates from different years. Brought back memories.

1957 Judy Patterson Nieser would like to remind her classmates to watch for Reunion news and make plans to attend their 65th reunion!

1958 Mary Jo Abraham Antoon writes hope all is well with you and your families. We have some good news from a number of our classmates: Helen Bordonaro Parisi and her husband Steve, moved to Naples, Fla last fall and we wish them well. Rene Peterson Mooney is happy to report that she and her husband,

Larry, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last July. Kay Rooney Kusnirik advises that her Widow and Widowers group that she started 13 years ago looks forward to a wine tasting excursion this spring. Carol Dowling Gallucci was happy to have 32 family members including her 5 children gather for the holidays. Jane Broglio Kimmel has recently been taking care of her husband who is recuperating nicely. Maria Schembri Turk enjoyed having her children living in New Hampshire join the rest of her family here for the holidays. Joan Fritz Vidmar and her husband were happy to host Thanksgiving Dinner for 15 people including her children and grandchildren. Peggy Opaskar reports that she had a great time on a cruise to the Panama Canal recently and spent time in Key West, Fla. Sara Gill Cutting was happy to have her daughter, Melissa, (class of ’78) and her family in from Chicago to join the family here for the holidays. Patty Minello Kirchener is enjoying spending time in Florida recently.

Rose Tomaro Iacompo and her family celebrated Christmas Eve at the home of her son, Jim, and his family. Sr. Martha Mooney keeps busy tutoring math at Beaumont and VASJ. As for me, my family including my 3 sons and 5 grandchildren met for the holidays in Mentor and had a great time.

1963 Kathleen Callahan Crawford writes we had major excitement at our house September 21, 2021. Our first great grandson, Mason, was born at our house. His parents had decided

with COVID restrictions they didn’t want to do a hospital and we agreed they could do it with us (not without trepidation). The fabulous 6-person midwife team had 4 nurses plus his grandma was who had been a NICU nurse so we felt confident. They had some much equipment it looked like FEMA had arrived. Gotta say it was a phenomenal experience!! We all held him about 1/2 hour after he was born...Lord knows when that would have happened with the restrictions.

Hard to explain how amazing it was – especially when we’re used being “detached” in a hospital environment. So, my news is a first great grandchild... not sure how I could top that next time!

Caroline Greuloch Graham shares what a crazy 2 years it has been. So far, we have avoided getting COVID. We have enjoyed plays and concerts since Florida is very open.

Our trip down the Danube was cancelled because of covid so we still have a deposit to use when things calm down. We have flown out to Phoenix twice this year for my Grandson’s graduation and Thanksgiving.

We drove to Raleigh for my Granddaughter Sadie's graduation from North Carolina State with a degree in engineering. She starts at NASA in Houston in Mission control. So proud of her! Hopefully everyone stays well, and the pandemic finally eases up. Hope to come to our 60th reunion this year. Wow! Sister Sheila Marie Tobbe is back at Beaumont tutoring! It’s good to go there several times per week and see all the life and activity of the students.

Regina Fana Ryan writes with COVID, no traveling was happening so this year I have 4 trips planned. In April to Paris, in June, Scandinavia, August, Canada and Nova Scotia and finally Greece in October.

Bon Voyage.

An additional bonus to my stay in Paris was the surprise visit from my granddaughter, Molly, who attends Trinity College in Dublin.

We spent Thanksgiving together, concluding the day by engaging in our usual tradition of “ODing” on Hallmark movies.

Two years prior to the recent trip, I cruised Northern France in the company of both Mary Kay & Mary Ann Koke. It was such a heartwarming & invigorating experience to be in the company of such fun loving & interesting former classmates.

I’m hoping Kati Crawford will organize a reunion cruise for our 60th – YES…Six O – as she did for our 40th & 50th. I urge all Beaumonsters to sign up, but only if you don’t mind laughing ‘til your sides split.

1965 Carol Pelegrin – Hi, Everyone! For the past 7 yrs. minus 1 due to COVID, I have joined my siblings on vacation in FL. My youngest brother David (wife Mary), bought a beautiful home in Osprey, FL, – where I stay, which is a little south of Sarasota. In the month of Feb. each year, my older brother Tom, (wife Marti), who now live in Aurora, OH, and my middle brother Rick (wife Beth), who live in Appleton, WI, converge upon Siesta Key at the Island House Beach Resort gulf side, where they rent villas, having access to the beach and swimming pool. Perfect arrangement!! Usually in the late afternoon, we all get together, catching up with each other on events of the day, having drinks and

sharing appetizers, sometimes dinner, and on into the evening. It has been a blessing for me to be with my family.

Since I’ve been going down to FL, I have also made arrangements to gather with some of my Beaumont classmates, who live in the central FL area. These gatherings all started when Sister Gretchen (Molly) Rodenfels, President at Beaumont at the time, visited in Gainesville with Donna Walter Nickerson, Mayde Peoples Sheps, Marilyn Russell Richards, Terry Welsh, and Betsy DeFino Wilson. Mayde and Donna both lived in the same development for years, but hadn’t recognized one another! The next year, when I was visiting Terry in The Villages, we all (above) got together for lunch in Ocala.

Since 2019, we have located several more classmates living in the Central FL area: Nancy White in Wesley Chapel, FL, Sally Koch Key and Mary Payne McGruder in Sarasota, and Priscilla Wright Rodriguez, who vacations in West Palm Beach; so, we decided to meet in Tampa. Nancy White is a full time Professor of Anthropology at the U in Tampa. Nancy joined us in 2020 but was unable to clear her schedule to meet with us this year. Nancy recommended the restaurant ULELE, which is near the Riverwalk in Tampa.

In the meantime, two classmates moved out of state: Marilyn Russell Richards and her husband sold their home in Sanford, FL and returned to OH. They now live in North Ridgeville, OH in Lorain County. In 2020, Mayde Peoples Sheps and her husband

Mary Redmond O’Malley writes last Fall I went on a River Cruise through Provence, France w/7 girlfriends. We decided to add on 3 days in Paris for a grand finale. While there, I had the distinct pleasure of enjoying a leisurely lunch with my old “partner in crime”, Mary Kay Drain, who lives there. We were only slightly less giddy than the good old days.

CELEBRATING BEAUMONT ALUMNAE sold their home in Gainesville and moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina. We miss them both.

BEAUMONT CLASSMATES OF 1965 – MINI REUNION – FEBRUARY 16, 2022 7 of us Beaumonsters gathered for lunch on Wed. Feb. 16th, 2022 at the Ulele Restaurant in Tampa, FL.: Mary Payne McGruder joined the group in 2020, after Carol’s persistence in trying to locate her. Mary and one of her sisters took turns – 6 months of the year caring for their mother who suffered from dementia, until their mother died in 2021 at Light of Hearts Villa in Bedford OH where she spent the last few months of her life. Mary has three grown children and many, many grandchildren.

In fact, Mary and her husband Jack had 4 grandchildren making their First Communion on the same day in 4 different locations!!!

Priscilla Wright Rodriguez joined us in 2020, considers herself a snowbird now since she spends 5 mos a yr. in West Palm Beach, FL. Priscilla lives in Newbury, OH with husband Dave. She is a retired first grade teacher and works as a caregiver for Home Instead and Visiting Angels when she’s home in Ohio.

Donna Walter Nickerson drove down from Gainesville, FL and has been at all the other classmate gatherings thus far. Donna, now retired, was a Nurse Practitioner, who spent many years working for a physician in private practice.

Betsy DeFino Wilson lives in Altamonte Springs, FL. She is a retired public school nurse who was responsible for 7 schools in her district. Class reps. Betsy in FL and Kathy Gang Rini in Cleveland are the persons in our class who are “in the know”.

They have reached out to many of our classmates who have lost their spouses in the recent past, providing comfort and support.

Three years ago, when Betsy heard that Sally Koch Key’s husband, Charlie, had died, Betsy and Kathy reached out to Sally and made sure that the class was notified.

When Sally heard that Betsy was bringing Joel to the Sarasota Medical Center for 3

specialized cancer treatments, Sally reached out many times to Betsy in her time of need.

Husband Joel passed in the Fall of 2021. Betsy has 3 daughters living close by.

Betsy just located Mary Jo Kraus Pagel – retired Internal Medicine Physician, now living in Bellair, FL. In the 1990s, when living in Oregon, “Dr. Mary Jo” and her husband, also a physician, now deceased, started the first Urgent Care Clinics in the State.

Mary Jo has one grown son.

Terry Welsh retired from elementary education after 38 years. After she moved to The Villages, her sister Donna and brother Richard (Dick) also moved there. Her sister, Dorothy (Sister Ritamary) visits several times each yr. Truly, Terry has a full life and enjoys every single minute of it. She just returned from a 7-day Western Carribbean cruise with 400 other residents from The Villages!

Carol Pelegrin – Ursuline Sister for 55 years, living in Pepper Pike at our new motherhouse, Merici Crossings. Taught first and second grades for 20 years, volunteer now at Urban Community School. Involved in social work for more than 20 years and continue helping and advocating for others, linking people to community resources, as needs arise. Active in Ursuline Social Justice group with focus on ending Racism and its ramifications. Explore the richness of our mission and ministry on our website www.ursulinesisters.org We’ve had so much fun together at these lunch gatherings and connecting between times. We tell our stories, share good times, and provide comfort and support in difficult times. We reminisce, laugh out loud, catch-up with each other. This is all because of BEAUMONT and “the beautiful girls you’ll find there.” Phrase now changed to protect the innocent!!!

1967 Kathy Hespen Forster writes Hello Classmates, I urge you to consider using the

opportunity of our class reunion to reminisce, reacquaint, and refresh. A reunion is really about time, and as we are all in our young 70’s, we have a diminishing amount of it, and we should take opportunities as they present themselves. Although at times I have been a member of the “road to good intentions paving crew”, I am happy to be in the good company of the 25 classmates who have expressed their intention to attend.

Pat Hoban Lonardo called to express regrets, but when she realized that our Saturday function is a luncheon rather than an evening event, she said to add her to the list of attendees. In other good news, Debbie Henry Beeter texted that her daughter Jane, who had been diagnosed last year with stage 4 colon cancer, is now cancer free, thank God. Every now and then I get a newsy call from Peggy Kelly Dempsey, and she and husband Jack, will be accompanying their granddaughter, Keegan, to the campus of Brown University for the summer program of courses, which include nuclear thermo-dynamics. Wizkid Keegan is only 14 years old! Ann Gorris Gelehrter told me all about the trip to the Galapagos she and her husband took 5 years ago, preventing her from joining us in 2017. She will be with us this year.

Gretchen Noetzel Walsh is heavily involved in the planning of the Notre Dame College Centennial Celebration. Virginia Devinne is looking forward to celebrating her 50th reunion from Ursuline College.

Kathy Rogers Sanson continues her work with her 2nd grade PSR students, as they prepare for their First Communion. Lucy Oliphant Buzzee and husband David are planning a trip to Italy. Kathy Burkhart Donahue and husband Ken are perusing their parents of the groom duties, and maybe Kathy will be wearing beige?

Among those who intend to attend are those who have recently downsized, and are enjoying that freedom; Julie Ganim, Barb Turek DeMichael, Karen Rocco Durant, and Janis DiToro Owens, and I will be right behind them, downsizing before the end of the year. Pat Kennedy Bopp also downsized to nearby

Wellington, Florida. Finally, we have booked the beautiful Pine Ridge Country Club for our Saturday, September 24th luncheon. The group photo is planned at noon, on the grand staircase, so I urge you to be on time. For those of you who are familiar with Dino’s catering, you know the food will be fabulous. Our contract allows for a 4-hour event, but for those who would like to return to the Beaumont campus for 4:00 Mass, this is doable. See you in September.

1970 Rosemary Amato is one of the co-authors of a new book “Ready for Female Leadership – the Future is Now”. She is working for a large Medical Devices company on their EU MDR Regulation program but plans to officially retire in October 2022.

Joanne Dilling Shreve says my daughter, Rachael, married Kevin Lozano on September 19, 2020. My son, Josh, married Lauren Hartman on April 10, 2021. Two kids born 7 years apart get married 7 months apart, both during the pandemic. Both weddings were in Cincinnati, OH - one larger one outside, one much smaller inside their house. But it’s all good and we are expecting our 1st grandchild (a boy) on January 1, 2022!

1972 Adrianne Senft Kohn says Happy almost-Spring to the Sunshine Class! The Winter has been relatively quiet, but many of us were able to celebrate Christmas with our loved ones and out-of-towners. On December 3rd, eleven of our classmates met

for a holiday lunch at Geraci’s Restaurant, Pepper Pike. Linda Zeleznik Knast shared that her new granddaughter was born on December 21st.

Amelia Lynn joins big sister Vivienne. She arrived a little early but continues to grow and thrive. Linda and husband Stan are lucky to be wintering in Florida again and enjoying the warmth. Also spending the Winter in Florida are Kathy Simoson O’Brien and her husband. Unfortunately, Norb will have to stay off the pickleball courts for the foreseeable future. Karen Reming recently spoke to Kathy Brown. Kathy stays busy lectoring at the Cathedral and is a member of the Centering Prayer Group. Mary Beth Guzzo welcomed a new rescue pup Sissy who joins big brother Stewie. And Pam Roberts also has a new rescue pup SnickerDoodle, a beagle mix. Kim Binder Carroll has a very successful blog entitled “Thoughts on Design”, produced by Pam’s husband Mark Goode. We have a few jet-setters too!

Monica Duer Pennington was in Malibu with her sisters. Monica stated, “It's been way too long!” And Peggy Wood VanDyke enjoyed some fun in the sun at Gem Beach, Nassau. Save the date for our 50th Reunion, the weekend of September 23-24. Details will be forthcoming. Please reach out to any of our class members you are in contact with and encourage them to join in the festivities. This is a big one, and we would love to see a record turnout. In the meantime, please continue to pray for our classmates and their families. Wishing you sunshine always!

1975 Donna Schuele joined the faculty at the UCLA School of Law in Fall 2021, teaching legal research and writing to international master's degree students. Her son, Michael Valdez, retired from competitive figure skating and joined Disney on Ice in January.

After touring the West Coast, his troupe will travel to Florida and, COVID permitting, Puerto Rico.

Mary Frances Monroe writes Hi Class of 1976! It was great to catch up with Eileen Ramerman during a recent trip to Cleveland for a Beaumont Board retreat. Eileen, you haven't changed a bit! Keeping busy with work at the Institute of International Finance, where I am a director on the regulatory team, and with Beaumont Board and Committee activities. Hope to see '76 classmates on future trips and, in the meantime, take good care!

1980 Renee Sallee Abney says 2021 was a very eventful year. After celebrating his 70th birthday, my husband spent half of last year in cancer treatment but has thankfully completed them all and is almost fully recovered. It was great to see old friends at our 40/41 class reunion in September.

Then sadly, my mom passed away after Thanksgiving, so Christmas was extra special for our family. Our children are all doing very well and advancing in their careers. All four of them moved last year with hardly any help from us. For 2022, we are planning to sell our home, downsize and hopefully build a retirement/vacation home in South Carolina for an eventual move south.

1981 Annette Nero Spetrino shares that Sherry Woolard married Ted Pawlowski on July 3, 2021. She waited a long time to find the perfect partner. It was a beautiful and touching ceremony with all of her loved ones in attendance. I (Annette) served as her Matron of Honor.

1982 Carla Solomon Brown is a mother of 2 adult children, 1 married daughter and 1 son, grandmother of 2, and married 33 years. She is a healthcare worker and loves her job as an occupational therapist assistant.

Maureen Sarver MacPhee writes I recently left my position as ER/Urgent care RN after 32 years & took a position with United Health Group as a Case Manager. Huge learning curve for me but looking forward to being a patient advocate. I can mostly work from home. I have 3 grandchildren & one step-grandson. Looking forward to having weekends & holidays off to spend with my family. Miss all my Beaumonsters. Our class was awesome. We all looked out for each other. Looking forward to our reunion!

Mary Carome Swinney is living in Liberty Township, Ohio and in her 21st year teaching high school English.

1992 Toya Adams-Driscal writes I recently published another book in December (A Note to the Black Man...). This is my 3rd book published since November 2020. My other two books, A Note to My Black Son... and A Note to My Black Daughter... along with this one are collections of notes personally written from Black Moms (A Note to My Black Son/Daughter) to their sons/ daughters and from their Wives/Sisters (A Note to the Black Man) to the Black Men who are important in their lives. Each personalized note features a photograph of the author and their child/children or the man/men they wrote the note to. All 3 covers were beautifully drawn and feature my son, Mason, my late mother and I, and my husband and late uncle. There are also lots of familiar faces throughout all 3 of the books because many of my fellow Beaumont alumni answered my call to participate in all three book projects.

1996 Maggie Keenan shares that she passed the Ohio Bar and received law license in 2021.

Her law practice is exclusively pro bono, and her sister (Class of 1992) is her assistant and paralegal. She started as Assistant Director of the Bureau of the Budget and Management Research for the City of Baltimore in October 2021. She settled a whistleblower lawsuit with Cuyahoga County in 2021. She established the Keenan Family Scholarship at Cleveland State University Law School which is for women and minority students in the part-time/evening program and gives two awards each year. Maggie was the third place winner of the Constantine Cannon Law School Essay Contest. Maggie also Joined the Board of Directors for the Lake County Free Clinic and the Counsel of Advisors for the Northeast Ohio Women’s Sports Alliance. Her daughter Aislin in her second year of college!

It's a modern Gothic novel about a young woman who follows an ancient blood-drinking religion and tries to maintain an ordinary life in extraordinary circumstances. 2005 Ashya Majied writes I left higher education and now work for a Diversity and Inclusion consulting firm. Since my work is remote, I moved back to Cleveland after being gone for over 10 years and am planning on buying a home on the area this year!

2005 Sophie Hilaire retired this year after 6 years in the US Army and 5 years with McKinsey & Co. She has been living in a Sprinter van for almost 2 years, covered most of the USA and the Baja peninsula in Mexico. She is looking forward to joining some construction crews this spring, and building out a tiny home on 102 acres this summer in the Midwest.

Christine DePaul Valentino and her husband Anthony welcomed their son Brooks in September 2021! Brooks joins big brother Jack (4 yebars old) and big sister Josie (2 years old).

2006 Ronni Garofoli and her husband, Dan Bosco, welcomed their second daughter, Santina Therese Bosco, on December 22, 2021. The doctor that delivered her was fellow classmate and best friend, Dr. Katie Coyne.

2003 Annie Walton Keller successfully ran for Judge in Shaker Heights Municipal Court in November 2021. She and her husband Patrick also welcomed their baby girl Lucy in June 2021. Carrie Dobrowski Schulte moved back to Cleveland in May 2020, married that same month to Alex Schulte and had their baby Isadora “Izzy” in August.

Jenny Grassi Laperch got a chocolate lab named Piper. Annie DePaul Zaratsian gave birth to a baby girl Briar Rose in October of 2020. Jessica Dugan started her first year as Principal in August 2021. Christina

2007 Katie Zulandt Reifert has been named the women’s volleyball Head Coach at George Washington University.

2011 Mia Delcalzo and her husband, John, welcomed a baby boy on February 3, 2022.

2012 Jacky Brady just moved to Los Angeles to work as a physical therapist at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center.

Leslie Cancelliere just received her MA in Counseling and Art Therapy from Ursuline College because she just couldn’t get enough of those Ursuline values. She is working as an Art Therapist at Marymount Hospital in Behavioral Health.

Heather Guhde received her MD and started OB/GYN residency at Ohio State.

Noelle Ivec is getting married May of 2022, still living in Arkansas, and also working towards becoming an RN to work at the bedside in geriatric care.

2013 Alex Fath is still living in El Paso, TX, working as the crime victims program coordinator for a legal aid, focusing on immigration relief for survivors of domestic violence.

Kristina Colo Kaczmarski married Kevin Kaczmarski on November 6, 2021.

Jessie Long shares that being a mom is the greatest challenge and blessing I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Elena is 15 months but will stare you down. She’s made me realize that life is short, spend it with those you love. Don’t live to work, work to live.

Excited to experience this new phase of life from a different perspective. To, one day, experience Beaumont as that excitable mom, waiting to hear every detail about my daughter’s first day as a freshman. But until then we are sniffing the roses.

2014 Tess Chatfield and her husband are expecting a baby girl May 2022.

2015 Madison Patton recently returned to KPMG for a Senior IT Audit position in Columbus, Ohio. Madison specializes in financial statement audits for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) engagements and private entities and has experience working and executing SOC1 and SOC2 attestations. Madison has three years of experience comprised in various industries, including the insurance and manufacturing industries. She has experience auditing IT systems such as: Oracle, JDEdwards, Microsoft Dynamics, SQL database, and more. Madison also recently passed the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) exam. This exam us used to show knowledge and expertise of IT/IS to apply a risk-based approach to planning, executing and reporting on audit engagements.

Outside of work, she is an Active Board Member, Program Development Committee member, and mentor on Ohio University’s AIS (Analytics & Information Systems) Young Alumni Board (YAB). Madison graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ohio University in 2019 with a degree in Management Information Systems and Business Analytics.

2016 Grace Brandon is passionately working towards getting the Reilly Girardot Award off the ground for its inaugural year in loving memory of classmate and best friend, Reilly Girardot. Much of what she does now is in her honor to share her story. She is grateful Beaumont is a part of her continued memorial for many many many years to come.

Colleen Mackay shares I moved to the West side of town 1.5 years ago. I love living in Lakewood, being so close to the water and city, but will always be a true East sider. I am

graduating from Baldwin Wallace University with a Masters in Speech-Language Pathology in May 2022. I am not sure if I will start working with adults or children yet because I have loved working with both!

Excitedly awaiting what’s to come in my career of working with others and their communication needs.

Courtney Tyree graduated from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with her Master of Science in Adult Education, Fall 2021. She is now employed with the federal government in the education industry.

2017 Reba Bartram writes after graduating from Point Park University, I moved to Los Angeles, CA where I worked with several top choreographers in the entertainment industry as well as got to be in music videos and do commercial modeling. Currently I am on a contract as a professional dancer for Norwegian Creative Studios on their Regent Seven Seas Explorer traveling Europe and the Caribbean’s. I also work as a freelance Front End Web Developer and Designer for a dance convention that travels around the country.

Ashley Birko recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from West Virginia University and has now moved on to the Class of 2025 at Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine.

2020 Leah Bruno Jarvis got her dream pharmacy job at Summa Health in Akron following residency completion. She is managing and titrating heart failure medications within the outpatient clinic.

Paige Johnson unexpectedly decided to defer starting college for a year and worked, but now is at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor campus) and loving it! Two highlights of her experience so far are the Health Science Scholars Program and the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program.
