1956 Class Representative: Patricia McIntyre Westropp pwestropp@yahoo.com During this time there is not a lot of news. Much to be prayed for in our World today. May God's mercy be upon us.The following note was written by Peggi Conway: “Hyderabad, South India, is 28 hours from Cleveland via Boston and traveled from Dubai to Hyderabad, South India January through early February, 2020. Several Cleveland Ursuline nuns including Sister Jennifer Corlett from our Cleveland Meditation Center were joined by 40,000 other meditators from all over the world. Another hour by antiquated cab on dirt roads to the Kanha Ashram at 3am was mind bending. The fashions, brilliant colors, aroma of Indian Cuisine were gifts along with the experience of living with people from all over the world. Together we experienced love, harmony, trust, peace and for me Vegetarianism. My focus in meditation was only distracted by visions of a Ruth’s Steak House meal! Returning to the USA, my traveling companions and I were about the only ones without face masks. Much later we learned that next door to us in India the Covid-19 virus had hit China! Let us all take great care as we are “over 65”!” The Hamilton House ladies Dolores McDonnell Ritt, Carol Egan Grady, Judy Bopp Loach and Patty Westropp were able to have an occasional “happy hour” 6ft. apart. A little different but staying safe & sane. Our deepest sympathy to Dolores Ritt on the loss of her sister Mary Kay Roddy and Peggi Conway on the loss of her brother Tommy Conway.
We would appreciate your continued support of our 1956 Scholarship Fund!
1957 Class Representatives: Barbara Schuele Schubert bschubert100@gmail.com Judy Patterson Nieser jpnieser@att.net Bettina Artino Reid is doing well and living in a small town in Maine about forty miles northwest of Portland. It is called the Lakes Region as there are numerous lakes and ponds surrounding the town. She and her husband, Al, live in a home overlooking two lakes, and have two sons and a granddaughter. One family lives in California and the other in Pensacola, Florida. After graduating from Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, she taught school in the Mayfield Heights school system. She then joined the Overseas Teaching Program with the Dept. Of Defense and was sent to Midway Island in the middle of the Pacific. Bettina met her husband there as he was Navy pilot. They have lived in many places and are enjoying retirement in Maine. Marsha Corlett Sarakaitis is back from Florida and waiting for the warm weather! Where is it? Mary Kay Maxson became a great aunt and her granddaughter has been accepted to law school. Monica Bolek Rini writes that she really isn’t doing anything much, but keeping busy doing what everyone seems to be doing during these days at home: going through photos gardening, trying to make life simpler by organizing and straightening her belongings. Liz Olenik Smith lives in Seattle, and mentioned missing her volunteer work at St Francis
