Dear Beaumont Donor, I hope your new year is off to a strong start. At Beaumont, we have hit the ground running and are planning for a very busy 2020.

In my second year as Beaumont’s President, we focused our energies on recruitment and enrollment, resulting in the growth of our student population for the second consecutive year.

We also graduated our first group of International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma students. We know IB has strengthened our curriculum and how we teach. We’re very excited by how it prepares and differentiates our students for college. It also broadened our pedagogy and helps us to teach to the future, developing skills such as critical thinking, collaboration and problem-solving.

IB’s philosophy of building a more peaceful world through education fully aligns with our mission to educate women for life, leadership and service.

In early 2019, we completed a five-year strategic plan which outlines our path forward. The four priorities in the plan are rooted in our deep history, focusing our resources and energy to make Beaumont unrivaled not only in women’s education but also in preparing global leaders. In 2019 we strategically brought the Summer Soirée back to campus and successfully focused our fundraising on renovation of the computer lab. We raised more money during the party than ever before, fully funding a capital project which will provide significant benefit our students.

In the coming pages, you will meet a few of our students.

While they come from different backgrounds and have different interests, a common theme in each of their reflections is their love of the Beaumont community and how much they value the educational opportunities the have here. They are all beneficiaries of your generous support and we are all truly grateful for our partnership with you.

Sister Ann Wojnar Innovation Lab (SAIL) Beaumont’s largest fundraising event came back to campus in 2019 as a resounding success, including a robust raise-the-paddle to renovate our computer lab.

In June 2019, Beaumont’s largest fundraiser was rebranded, moved back to campus, and raised more philanthropic dollars for Beaumont than ever before! The Summer Soirée featured a program dedicated to Sr. Ann Wojnar and her creative fundraising efforts to establish Beaumont’s first computer lab. We unveiled schematics for the renovation which included collaborative spaces, flexible work stations, charging stations, and new computers. Designs showed a student-centered environment including a podcast studio and video editing suite. All the changes would be adaptable to expand course offerings and evolve with students’ needs.

The Sister Ann Wojnar Innovation Lab, so named by a lead gift from an anonymous donor, was fully funded at the Summer Soirée through the generosity of the attendees.

Renovation on the space took place through the fall of 2019 and students began enjoying the SAIL in January 2020. It quickly became a popular spot for students before, during, and after school.

Brenna Czenszak ’23 “My favorite part of Beaumont is the community. Everyone is smiling in the halls and they pick each other up and are so supportive and helpful, especially to the incoming freshman. Many of the students come to various sports games and rally around the players, cheer, and let the players know we believe in them. I also participate in Academic Scholars, Ambassador Club, Social Justice Club, Volleyball, and Art.”

Dionna White ’22 “I am in Pre-Med Club, Entrepreneur Club, F.A.M.E., and French Club.

My favorite thing about Beaumont is the community.

The friends I’ve made will stick with me for life. We build each other up and provide support. I am eternally grateful.”

Elise Evans ’21 “Beaumont is my family, and I cannot imagine myself anywhere else.

I am proud to be on the Tennis and Softball Teams, and to be an Ambassador and on Executive Student Council. My favorite course is IB History because it is very hands-on and I learn a lot. I am beyond grateful for the outstanding education I am receiving here.”

Katherine Foerg ’21 “Beaumont has been one of the biggest positive impacts on my life and who I am.

I will be forever grateful for my time at Beaumont. I am in Academic Scholars, Peer Ministry, Link Crew, National Honors Society, and am on the Varsity Golf Team. My favorite class is IB Biology. I have gained valuable skills and confidence in these leadership opportunities that I know I will use later in life.”

Lydia Gattozzi ’21 “I love Beaumont and the sense of community here. I’ve met so many amazing young women just like me, that I will remain friends with for the rest of my life.

I play Basketball at Beaumont and absolutely love it. I’m hoping to play basketball in college at the Division 2 or 1 Level, and the coaches are helping me to improve my skills so that I can get to that level.”

Maria Jones ’21 “At Beaumont, we are taught to become leaders and women who will change the world through our studies and after-school activities. This has helped me to develop leadership skills that I can carry with me as I go through college and enter the real world. I am in Executive Student Council, Drama Club, and on the Swim and Lacrosse Teams. Beaumont has paved my way for the future.”

Abigail Miklowski ’21 “At Beaumont, I am able to further develop academically, socially, and spiritually.

I’ve learned so much being here. Many people I’ve met have become some of my best friends and I’m blessed to have them in my life. My favorite class at Beaumont is Chemistry, and I hope to pursue a career in science. I am also in National Honor Society, National Art Society, Pottery Club, French Club, and Hiking Club.”

Lena Stewart ’21 “I’ve met great friends at Beaumont. Outside of classes I play tennis, participate in F.A.M.E. and am working toward holding a leadership position in the group.

In the future, I want to become an athletic trainer for either the NFL or NBA, or a sports medicine physician. I know Beaumont will help me reach my goals.”
