Q1: How familiar are you with the roles of each level of government and the various objectives and strategies related to cannabis legalization? 2%

The survey shows that the largest majority of respondents were somewhat familiar with the roles of each level of government in strategies related to cannabis legalization, as shown below;

In spite of whichever opinion that these participants had, 75% (477) of the respondents were at least aware of the roles of each level of government and the strategies related to cannabis legalization, whereas 25% (160) of the respondents were not aware at all.

A majority of the respondents in this sample size of 637, favor cannabis retail stores in commercial areas, as opposed to residential areas, industrial parks and Centre-Ville, as seen below;

Cannabis building locations: reported concerns to not establish retails stores around schools, parks, day cares and any region with ease of access to minors.

Legal framework of the use of cannabis, with the majority of respondents advocating for the law to be similar to that of alcohol and tobacco.

Marketing restrictions on advertisements and a controlled use of endorsement.

The odor of cannabis is a major issue for a large portion of the respondents (some are not opposed to edibles though).

A small sample of respondents were concerned about the proper and safe disposals of Cannabis waste.

If cannabis was legalized and accessible in Beaumont, some prefer localized ownership by residents and residential businesses as opposed to outside businesses.

If cannabis was legalized in Beaumont, an average share of respondents are concerned over the policing on Cannabis, so as to restrict irresponsible uses (such as driving under the influence and accessibility to minors).
