1. Why this guide exists Buying a watch online in Pakistan means trusting a seller you cannot see. Fake and "copy" watches are common, and many sellers do not say where their stock comes from. At the same time, the choices are confusing: quartz or automatic, steel or leather, 30 metres or 100 metres of water resistance. This guide covers the points that matter most when you choose a watch, in plain language. Our advice: if you want a watch you can wear every day without thinking about it, choose quartz or solar. Choose an automatic if you enjoy the mechanical side of watches and are happy to look after one.
3. Case size and wrist fit A watch that is too big looks awkward and one that is too small can look lost on the wrist. A few simple checks help: -
The case should sit within the width of your wrist, not hang over the edges.

The lugs (the parts that hold the strap) should not stick out past your wrist bone.

Thick, chunky cases such as sports and rugged watches look larger than their diameter suggests. Check the thickness as well as the width.

If you are between sizes, try the smaller one on a bracelet or strap you can adjust.

What is in the box? An original watch should come with its warranty card and the brand's own box, not a plain or generic one.

Can you see the watch in person first? Genuine sellers are happy to let you.

Is there a written return or replacement policy?
When the watch arrives -
Check that the model code on the box matches the code on the watch and on the product page you ordered.

Check the warranty card is in the box.

Look at the finish: printing, hands and crown should be clean and aligned.

Be wary of a price far below what other sellers charge for the same model.

If anything looks wrong, contact the seller straight away.
8. Caring for your watch -
Wipe the case and bracelet with a soft dry cloth. A slightly damp cloth is fine for water-resistant watches.

Rinse metal bracelets in fresh water now and then, but only if the watch is water resistant. Dry it fully.

Keep watches away from strong magnets such as speakers and some phone cases.

Avoid leaving a watch in a hot car or in direct sun for long periods.

Automatic watches should be serviced periodically. Ask your seller or the brand for the recommended interval.
