By the 9th Force Support Squadron
This month’s edition of the Recce Magazine is inspired by a popular dystopian 1950s-era video game. Join the Beale Cow to complete quests throughout the month leading up to the Ultimate Survival Challenge on Sep 21 at BealeCon.
In the year 2024, the world as we knew it has crumbled into dust. The oncethriving cities are now mere echoes of their former glory, buried under layers of ash and ruin. The sky, perpetually shrouded in a thick, gray haze, offers no respite from the desolation below. This is the Beale Badlands—a barren expanse where survival is a daily struggle, and hope is a rare commodity.
You are a dweller of Beale Bunker 9, with a mysterious past and an unyielding spirit. Armed with little more than your wits and a pocket map, you set out on a quest to uncover the secrets of the old world. Whispers of a hidden sanctuary, a
place untouched by the devastation, have reached your ears. They say it holds the key to humanity’s rebirth.
Your journey will take you through treacherous landscapes, each step fraught with danger. Mutated creatures, mini feral ghouls, rogue scavengers, and the remnants of a once-powerful force stand in your way. But you are determined. For in this forsaken land, you are the beacon of hope, the one who dares to dream of a better future.
The Badlands awaits. Will you rise to the challenge and carve out a new destiny? Stay Safe.
In this edition you will see historical photos of Beale AFB from the 50s-70s, Thanks to the 9 RW Historian
