All Month

Celebrate our freedoms by encouraging your child to participate in the voting process. In anticipation of Dino-vember, we will be holding an election for the coolest dinosaur.

1. Register to vote at the Library and choose your political party: Herbivore, Carnivore, or Omnivore.

2. Meet the dinosaur candidates.

3. Stop by weekly for campaign updates and a dino sticker.

4. Vote for your favorite dino the first week of Nov (voting booths will be similar to how parents vote).

5. Winning dinosaur will be announced on Nov 12.

The Beale Youth Center is looking for our next Military Youth of the Year!

Griffin D’Amore, Youth of The Year 2024

If you have outstanding leadership, service, academic excellence, and dedication to living a healthy lifestyle then YOU could be the next Beale Military 2025 Youth of the Year and earn a chance to learn incredible life skills, HUGE prizes, and BIG scholarships! Youth Basketball Sign-Ups Start Oct 1

Season runs Nov 12-Mar 2. Practices will be held Mon/Wed or Tue/Thu, 5-6pm or 6-7pm. Grades K-2 at Youth Programs, grades 3-8 at Bear River Middle School. Games will be Sat mornings beginning Jan 11. $85, 20% off for YP members (current shot records with current season flu shot and physical required). Sign up in CYPBMS by Nov 7.

Lights On After School

Oct 24 • 3–6pm

Join us for this nationwide event celebrating afterschool programs and their important role in the lives of children, families, and communities. Free snacks and glowsticks to all participants. Come by to see what we have to offer. Sign up by in CYPBMS by Oct 22.

R4R California Academy of Sciences

Oct 19 • 7am–8pm

With a fantastic indoor rainforest, aquarium, planetarium, and so much more. Enjoy nearby attractions such as the DeYoung Art Museum, San Francisco Botanical Gardens, and San Francisco Japanese Tea Gardens for free (with military ID). South Lake Tahoe Oktoberfest

Oct 5 • 9am–8pm

Enjoy a fun excursion to Camp Richardson at South Lake Tahoe for their 2024 Oktoberfest event. With live music and delicious food and drink, it is sure to be a fun afternoon. $20 includes transportation and parking. Sign up by Oct 1.

Immerse yourself in lush redwood forests, golden grasslands, and panoramic views of the Bay Area. Free limited spots available until filled (reg price $20). Please bring water, appropriate clothing, sunscreen, and snacks. Sign up by Oct 8.

Recharge for Resiliency (R4R)

Resiliency programs are subsidized by the Air Force. If you qualify (see below) you pay the R4R rate. If you do not, you may be eligible at the regular rate if space is available after R4R recipients have signed up.

Single Airman Program Initiative (SAPI) events are for active duty and reserve members without a spouse.

RecOn events are for all active duty, reservists and their family members. Deployed Affected Programs (DAP) events are for deployed-affected AF personnel and their family members from receipt of orders, during deployment, and up to a year postdeployment.

For $10 per week you’ll receive 3 games with on-site coaching from California Bowling Association’s Youth Director of the year. Ask about scholarship opportunities.

80’s Glow Bowling Night

Oct 5 • 5-8pm

Dress in your best 80’s gear & jam out to hits. Glow necklaces for all bowlers, prizes for best costume and giveaways through the night. $15 unlimited bowling (shoes included), $10 if you come in costume!

Monte Carlo Night

Oct 12 • 7pm

Knock down colored pins for cash prizes (no skill required). Must be 18 or older (this is a cash only event, atm on-site). $20 entry.

Baker Doubles Tournament

Oct 19th • 6pm

30 teams of 2 will bowl alternating frames, 5 games across 10 lanes. Top 5 teams will go into stepladder roll off. $50 entry per team. Contact Beale Lanes for details.

Will’s No Tap Tournament

Oct 26 • 7pm

Receive a strike for knocking down 9 pins down on first shot. Bowl 4 games, cash prizes for top scores (this is a cash only event, atm on-site). $40 entry.
