New Covid Restric'ons & City Regional Differences With new Covid cases in NSW comes new restric(ons. A new mandatory mask mandate covers the greater Sydney area and extends as far south as Wollogong and Port Kembla.

While more regional areas are not covered by the mandatory mask changes, the NSW government con(nues to step up precau(ons in all areas to prevent further spread. Businesses are advised to use the NSW Services App QR code to check in clients.

The NSW Services App QR code is used for business premises as well as events such as open homes, so you will be seeing these black and white square QR codes more o:en in the future as well as our normal contactless registra(on.

Just as residents of regional areas have fared be;er in the wake of the pandemic, so have regional markets.

A new report published by CoreLogic has shown regional areas o:en outperforming city suburbs over the past 12 months, with Eliza Owen, the Head of Research Australia, sta(ng “The rela(ve popularity of lifestyle markets is evident in our report, and regional Australia out-performed the combined capital ci(es market”.

Many towns in our region ranked highly in the report, with Malua Bay taking the 3rd in regional areas for highest increase in house value with a 19.2% increase over the year. Batemans Bay took 2nd in the regional areas for increase in unit value, with a 17.9% increase over the year.

Only (me will tell if these increases con(nue, but it can’t be denied that many across the state are waking up to the benefits of regional areas especially on the South Coast.
