Beth Williams, an attractive lady with
an engaging smile and delightfully easygoing personality, is a remarkable musician and record company entrepreneur who writes, sings and records her own songs. She also performs well loved tunes from the ’40s through the ’80s. Her career has many highlights, which include being nominated as the Academy of Country Music’s “Best New Female Vocalist of the Year.” She is a Nashville session singer and demo singer who also gives voice and guitar lessons.
bone tree is an acoustic band from the
Unaweep Canyon of Western Colorado. They are a new band that plays “deep canyon music,” which is made up of songs that have the depth of true American music rebuilt note by note to create a new and exciting mix. Ula Kirkman has played the accordion for over half a century. Kirkman loves performing for retirement homes and senior centers, especially in the Colorado and Utah regions. You’ll see why she is our most requested entertainer at this year’s Montrose-Delta BeaconFest.

Presented by Dr. Jennifer Bebee, Au.D., CCC-A, 10 a.m. - F-AAA, Western Colorado Hearing Clinic If left undiagnosed and untreated, hearing loss can negatively impact a person’s ability to communicate and decrease their overall quality of life. Recent studies have even linked untreated hearing loss with dementia. Since hearing loss is a growing problem, there is cause for concern. It is important that proper diagnosis and intervention take place in order to facilitate effective communication between you and your loved one, and to improve quality of life for both the dementia and hearing loss patient. This presentation will address the signs of hearing loss compared to dementia (which are often similar), the negative implications of untreated hearing loss, and strategies to help you better communicate with someone with hearing loss or dementia.
