PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Cars and Taxis: Taxis should drop off and pick up in the Front School car park. Cars may be parked in either car park at owner ’ s risk. If left overnight, it is advised to use the North Car Park
Meal Choices: A printed reference is provided at each table, detailing meal selections, dietary requirements, and wine choices just in case you need a reminder of your order
Payments: The bar, raffle and auction will operate on a card-only basis.
Photographs: Capture the memories with our 360-video booth, which sends incredible images straight to your phone. In addition, QR codes will be displayed across the venue to turn your phone in to a digital disposable camera, capture the night from your point of view and enjoy the Ball’s official online album the next day

Fundraisers: The BPS pledge for this year is to help facilitate the redevelopment of Willsfield and support our chosen charity of ALMT, to whom we will be donating 20% of the funds raised in the Auction and Raffle. Funds will be raised solely through drinks sales, a raffle, silent Auction and live Auction. The raffle and silent Auction have been made available to the whole school community and shared prior to the event. The live Auction shall be for guests only
Smoking and vaping: The school strictly prohibits smoking and vaping on-site.

Dear Parents,
Welcome to The Beacon Parents’ Society Summer Ball 2025!
This event is always one the most anticipated in the school calendar, and it is great to celebrate our fellowship amongst the splendour of our school buildings. I often describe The Beacon to visitors as a small village, and if that be the case, then this evening is our annual ‘village carnival’. Refreshments served by our villagers (old boys) in the market square (the Quad), before departing for dinner, merriment and dancing on the village green (the Astro)
Beacon boys are brought up to be engaging, personable and great fun and as much as we provide the daily environment within which they can prosper, they learn these behaviours from you, our parents, who are as responsible as anyone for their social maturity and appetite for the enjoyment of life in the fullest sense. There is no better example of this than the endeavour and enterprise of our BPS, whose collegiate partnership with the school enables our whole community to come together and champion friendship on occasions like tonight. My sincere thanks to everyone on the Ball Committee who have worked so hard to put on what I have no doubt will be a uniquely Beacon event.

BPS FUN DAY
We kicked off 24/25 with this exciting new event. We were spoiled with good weather and you came in your hundreds to embrace the Family Fun Day. Some catching up with pals after the long summer break, others having just started at The Beacon came and made new friends there.
Sports, games, inflatables, go-karts and face painting were all enjoyed. We are currently in the midst of organising BeaconFest ‘25 which is looking to be even bigger and better and we look forward to seeing lots of you there!

Thankfully Father Christmas’ sleigh was unbothered by the gale force winds and his grotto was as popular as ever.
The shiny new C&N room was put through its paces as Mrs Rowland rallied her team of boys and produced a huge array of delicious food
With a fabulous raffle of hampers created by your amazing year reps, the Old Barn full of fun games, scrummy curry in the Dining Hall, a generously filled cake stall, a reindeer rodeo and the ever popular sweet tombola to name a few of the stalls, we raised a staggering £13,000! on the day

QUIZ NIGHT
Once back after the Christmas break school was in action stations with filming for the Quiz Boys (and Headmasters) singing in Mr Baker’s office, iconic artwork being recreated in the quad and lessons being gatecrashed for an observation round tour!
On the night, after a delicious chilli from Dino and his team, Mr Baker and Mr Langley, our answer to Armstrong and Osman, were reunited in the Spinney for some top notch quizzing accompanied by show stopping desserts
A very strong effort from Year 1’s Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Quizardry, saw them proudly take home the cup.
