At 7:31 a.m., an officer responded to the 100 block of East Foothill Boulevard regarding a vandalism report. The victim discovered the suspect, a female from a former relationship, vandalized his business and he stated he received threatening text messages and emails after an altercation with her. The female suspect is outstanding as of Aug. 2.

July 25
At 3:40 a.m. an officer responded to 1919 Lanzhou Beef Noodle, located at 148 E. Duarte Road, regarding a commercial burglary investigation. The officer determined unknown suspects smashed the windows of three adjacent businesses. The suspects fled with cash and a register.
At 3:56 a.m., an officer responded to Ci Tea, located at 1108 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a commercial burglary report. Surveillance footage revealed four unidentified suspects smashed the front door of the business and stole the cash drawer. It is unknown if this burglary is related to the incidents that occurred earlier in the morning.
At 8:16 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 400 block of West Norman Avenue regarding a theft from a vehicle incident. Sometime between July 21 at 7 p.m. and 8 a.m. on July 22, someone entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole the victim’s wallet.
At 10:36 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 200 block of Colorado Boulevard regarding a battery incident. The officer discovered the female suspect spit at and struck the male victim. The 47-yearold female from Covina was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. Drive, regarding a trespassing report. After multiple attempts to get the suspect to leave the business, officers arrested the suspect and transported the 31-yearold male from Temple City to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. A records check revealed he had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
July 26
At 12:54 a.m., an officer responded to Le Méridien, located at 130 W. Huntington Drive, regarding a grand theft incident. The victim discovered a large sum of money had been stolen from his wallet while having a small gathering in his hotel room.
At 12:42 p.m., an officer responded to Sunglass Hut, located at 400 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a shoplifting report. An investigation revealed a lone suspect stole 26 pairs of Chanel sunglasses. APD Detectives discovered the suspect, a 28-year-old male from San Francisco, is a known retail thief and had committed a similar theft from the Brea Mall. The investigation is ongoing.
July 27
At 10:51 a.m., an officer responded to an apartment complex in the 1100 block of West Duarte Road regarding a battery report. The officer determined the suspect, the victim’s boyfriend, had been physically abusive for three years. The 20-year-old male from Arcadia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At 7:21 p.m., an officer responded to the 500 block of East Live Oak Avenue regarding a package theft. Surveillance footage captured the suspect, a bald Hispanic or White male, stealing the victim’s package at approximately 3:15 p.m. The suspect fled on foot.
July 28
At 9:09 a.m., an officer responded to the 200 block of East Floral Avenue regarding a theft from vehicle report. Sometime
during the previous night, someone entered the victim’s unlocked sedan and stole battery chargers.
July 29
At 7:55 a.m., an officer responded to the intersection of Baldwin Avenue and Arboretum Avenue regarding a stolen vehicle. When the officers attempted to pull over the vehicle, a short pursuit ensued. The vehicle stopped when it collided with a parked car. The 34-year-old female from San Jose was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At 8:35 a.m., an officer responded to a dental office located at 55 E. Live Oak Ave. regarding a burglary report. A review of the surveillance footage revealed a Hispanic male broke the front window of the business, ransacked the office, and fled with an unknown amount of property.
At 6:20 p.m., an officer responded to Nordstrom, located at 400 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a grand theft investigation. Surveillance footage captured the suspect, a female of an unknown race, stealing four pairs of designer sunglasses before exiting the store, failing to pay for them.
MONROVIA
July 21
At 5:55 p.m.,a resident in the 200 block of Pomona reported that he was the victim of fraud. He reported that he did online accounting work for an individual subject. The subject sent him two checks and asked him to keep his payment from the checks and forward the remaining balance to a third party. The victim sent the third party money via Zelle. When he attempted to cash the checks he received from the suspect, both were no good. This investigation is continuing. veillance and saw two individuals climb over the fence of his neighbor’s house across the street. Officers responded and located a broken sliding glass door to the rear of the location. The house was ransacked. This investigation is continuing.
July 22
At 1:11 a.m. an officer patrolling the area of Duarte and Alamitas observed a pedestrian walking in the roadway. The subject was stopped and later found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and later released with a citation.
At 1:35 a.m. an officer patrolling the area of California and Shrode observed a bicyclist commit a traffic violation. The subject was stopped and later found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and later released with a citation.
At 2:57 a.m. an officer patrolling the area of Primrose and Pomona observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation. The vehicle was stopped and an investigation revealed that the passenger in the vehicle had two warrants for her arrest. The passenger was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. She was arrested and taken into custody.
At 1:20 p.m. an employee from a business in the 100 block of West Lemon called to report that he had been robbed while standing outside the business. Several unknown male suspects stopped their vehicle alongside the victim and demanded he hand over his phone. When he refused, the passenger jumped out of the vehicle and wrestled it out of his hands causing the victim to fall and hit his head on the ground. This investigation is continuing.
At 5:34 p.m. a caller reported a traffic collision occurred at the intersection of Central and Myrtle. Officers responded and checked on the well-being of the oc-
cupants. Both drivers sustained minor injuries.
At 8:07 p.m. an officer patrolling the intersection of Foothill and Primrose saw a vehicle with expired registration and conducted a traffic stop. The driver stated he had a BB handgun in his vehicle. The driver was removed from the vehicle and gave officers consent to search. The officer found drug paraphernalia. The driver was arrested and later released with a citation.
At 10:39 p.m., an officer patrolling the intersection of Royal Oaks and Mountain conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle violation. The driver was contacted and found to have a suspended license. The passenger was found to be a reported missing juvenile from Los Angeles. The vehicle was impounded and the driver was cited for the license violation. The juvenile was taken into protective custody and transported back to the Monrovia PD Station before being released to the Department of Children and Family Services.
July 23
At 12:46 a.m. a caller in the 500 block of West Huntington reported a suspicious vehicle parked with its doors open for over an hour. Officers arrived and found a male adult passed out behind the wheel. A DUI investigation revealed the driver was intoxicated. He was arrested and transported to the Monrovia Police Department jail to be held for a sobering period.
At 2:05 a.m. an officer patrolling the intersection of Spanner and Myrtle observed a vehicle commit several traffic violations. The vehicle was stopped and the driver displayed objective symptoms of intoxication. A DUI investigation ensued and the driver was found to have been driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and transported to the Monrovia Police Department jail to be held for a sobering period. attempted to fingerprint an inmate, but she resisted. Officers attempted to bring her out of the cell, but she became immediately combative and struggled with them. During the struggle, she managed to kick and scratch officers. She was restrained and extracted from the cell for fingerprinting. While being fingerprinted she kicked the on duty Jailer. This case will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Officer for filing consideration.
At 5:51 p.m. several callers advised that there was an unconscious male subject on the ground at the metro platform. Officers arrived and located the male who was unresponsive. Drug paraphernalia was found near the subject and the officer administered Narcan. The subject gained consciousness and was transported to a local hospital by paramedics.
At 6:44 p.m. a caller reported he had been hiking for twelve hours near the Clamshell trail. He advised he was out of water and not feeling well. Officers, paramedics, and the Pasadena PD airship responded. The airship located the hiker. Los Angeles County Fire Air11 was requested to respond. Air11 rescued the hiker. Paramedics then transported him to a local hospital for treatment.
At 8:13 p.m. a caller reported his vehicle had been stolen from the intersection of Peck and Longden sometime over the last three days. The vehicle was placed into the stolen vehicle database. This investigation is continuing.
At 10:05 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation near the intersection of Canyon and Lemon. The driver was contacted and found to be driving on a suspended license. Drug paraphernalia was seen in plain sight and the driver was taken out of the vehicle. The passenger admitted to being in possession of a controlled substance. The passenger was arrested and the driver was cited for the license violation.
