July 17
At 10:11 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1600 block of South Baldwin Avenue regarding a domestic dispute. An investigation revealed an argument between a husband and wife resulted in the husband hitting his wife multiple times. Both parties were transported to Arcadia Methodist Hospital for evaluations. The suspect, a 48-year-old male from Arcadia, was arrested a short time later and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

At 3:57 p.m., an officer responded to Fun Box, located at 400 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a grand theft report. The victim discovered his cellphone and car keys had been stolen. The victim believed the theft occurred between 3:20 p.m. and 3:35 p.m.
July 18
At 7:13 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 900 block of West Huntington Drive regarding a vandalism report. The officer determined the victim’s ex-boyfriend cut her window screen after they separated. The 34-year-old male from Arcadia is outstanding as of July 26.
At 9:32 p.m., an officer responded to Tee Top of California, located at 11901 Goldring Rd., regarding a commercial burglary. An investigation revealed unknown suspect(s) used a rock to smash the front lobby window in an apparent effort to burglarize the business. No loss was reported.
July 19
At 1:13 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 600 block of East Live Oak Avenue, regarding a mail theft report. Sometime between July 16 and July 19, someone pried open two mailboxes. It is unknown if they fled with stolen mail.
At 10:10 p.m., an officer responded to the 1100 block of South Santa Anita Avenue regarding a residential burglary report. Surveillance footage captured two suspects entering the victim’s home by prying open a window, but once inside, the suspects fled empty-handed. The victims were home at the time of the crime. The suspects are described as two thin males, both wearing masks, hooded sweatshirts, and backpacks.
July 20
At 10:22 a.m., an officer responded to Mountain View Office Plaza, located at 317 E. Foothill Blvd., regarding a commercial burglary investigation. The officer discovered the suspect forced open a storage room and stole a box of keys. The incident occurred sometime between July 18 and July 20.
At 10:05 p.m., an officer responded to the area of Live Oak Avenue and Persimmon Avenue regarding a traffic collision between a parked vehicle and a moving vehicle. Upon contacting the driver, the officer determined the 26-year-old male from Temple City was under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
July 21
At 12:32 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Catalpa Road regarding a theft from vehicle report. The victim discovered his gardening equipment had been stolen from the back of his truck. Surveillance footage revealed the suspects, both Hispanic males, fled in a black, older model, Chevrolet Suburban.
July 22
At 12:22 a.m., an officer responded to the Santa Anita Race Track, located at 285 W. Huntington Dr., regarding a stolen vehicle report. Sometime between July 21 at 2:30 p.m. and July 22 at 12:22 a.m., someone stole the victim’s silver Chevrolet Silverado. The vehicle was later located by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, in the area of East Los Angeles.
At 11:33 a.m., an officer responded to 24 Hour Fitness, located at 125 N. Santa Anita Ave., regarding a burglary incident. The victim stated his locker had been broken into and his cellphone and cash were stolen. The crime happened sometime between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. on July 21.
At 1:30 p.m., an officer responded to 99 Ranch Market, located at 1300 S. Golden West Ave., regarding an attempted burglary report. Surveillance footage captured two suspects attempting to break into the business, but they were unsuccessful in cutting the lock to the entrance. Suspect #1 is described as a Black male, approximately 20 to 30 years old, 5-feet-9-inches tall and 170 pounds. Suspect #2 is described as a Hispanic male of the same age, with brown hair, 6-feet tall and 180 pounds. No loss was reported.
July 23
At 3:00 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 2400 block of South 6th Avenue regarding a trespassing incident. Two suspects, a 46-year-old female from El Monte and a 44-year-old male from Monrovia, were found trespassing at the location and were subsequently arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At 6:08 p.m., an officer responded to Hope International Church, located at 1741 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a stolen vehicle report. Sometime between 12 a.m. and 6 p.m. on July 23, someone stole 2000 International yellow bus from the business. The bus was recovered by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, San Dimas Station.
MONROVIA
July 14
At 11:55 a.m., an employee from a business in the 700 block of Huntington reported a subject throwing items, threatening people and hit a vehicle with a metal rod. When the officer contacted the subject, he was argumentative. The subject began walking toward that officer in an aggressive manner. The subject was resistive and trying to pull away. The subject had to be taken to the ground. No one was injured and the subject. The subject was taken to a local hospital for a mental evaluation.
At 1:24 p.m., a shoplifting was reported in the 500 block of West Huntington. An investigation revealed the suspect walked out of the store with food and other items, without paying. The subject was contacted by loss prevention outside and the suspect became argumentative. The subject was arrested and taken into custody.
At 2:23 p.m., the victim called to report his vehicle was stolen while he was shopping in the 1600 block of South Mountain. This investigation is continuing.
At 8:06 pm, a vehicle burglary was reported in the 700 block of East Huntington. The caller reported someone had broken into his vehicle during the day. The officer arrived and discovered the vehicle's window had been smashed by the suspect. The victim's wallet was taken. This investigation is continuing.
At 11:59 pm, a caller reported the front door to his vacant property in the 200 block of West Lime had been kicked down. The officer arrived and determined the door was purposely kicked causing moderate damage. This investigation is continuing.
July 15
At 3:25 a.m., an officer saw a vehicle driving on the roadway at 5 mph in the area of Peck and Duarte. The officer pulled up alongside the vehicle and saw the driver had a fixed stare and slow reaction to the light signals. The officer pulled the vehicle over and contacted the driver. The officer conducted a DUI investigation and determined the driver was intoxicated. The driver was arrested and transported to the Monrovia
At 7:46 a.m., a commercial burglary was reported at a construction site in the 1600 block of South Magnolia. An investigation revealed office equipment and plumbing parts were taken. This investigation is continuing.
At 8:34 a.m., a theft of a catalytic converter was reported in the 100 block of West Walnut. The theft occurred sometime during the night. This investigation is continuing.
At 7:48 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of Myrtle and Duarte. A computer check of the driver revealed an outstanding warrant. The two passengers were on probation and parole. A search of the vehicle revealed a magazine with bullets. One passenger was arrested for felon in possession of ammunition and the other was arrested for drug paraphernalia. They were taken into custody.
At 9:23 p.m., while patrolling in the 1300 block of South Mayflower, an officer saw a subject riding a bicycle carrying store items. When officers tried to stop him, he dropped the property and fled on foot. Officers were unable to locate the subject. The recovered items were stolen from a business in the location. This investigation is continuing.
July 16
At 2:51 a.m., a resident called to report a male subject laying in the alley to
the rear of the 200 block of E. Olive. Officers arrived and found an intoxicated subject. He was arrested for public intoxication and transported to Monrovia Police Department Jail to be held for a sobering period.
At 9:20 a.m., an injury traffic collision was reported in the 700 block of Foothill. A vehicle turned in front of a group of bicyclists and a collision occurred with a rider. A rider was transported to the hospital with a minor head injury.
At 10:46 a.m., a reporting party in the 1100 block of Huntington reported a male subject vandalizing their property. He advised that there was a court order prohibiting the subject from being at the property. Officers responded and located the suspect nearby. He was arrested and taken into custody.
At 2:14 p.m., an officer patrolling the 100 block of East Chestnut saw a vehicle make an abrupt turn and expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted. It was determined that the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and transported to the Monrovia Police Department jail to be held for a sobering period.
At 4:28 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation in the 200 block of East Olive. The driver was identified and a computer check revealed he had multiple warrants for his arrest. He was arrested and taken into custody.
