W
orld Mission Society Church of God showed support to the newly launched LA CARE program by donating more than 900 hygiene kits. Church of God met a city official at 9 a.m. at Los Angeles City Hall on Oct. 23 to deliver multiple boxes filled with pre-made kits that are intended to be distributed to LA homeless encampments.
LA CARE (Collaborative Cleaning and Rapid Engagement) plan was established by Mayor Garcetti earlier this year to “overhaul the city’s approach to street cleanups, deliver services to homeless Angelenos living in encampments, and address illegal dumping,” according to lamayor.org. Church of God says that “Just as a mother loves and cares for her child, God loves and cares for all the people
on this earth. The city workers of LA and Mayor Eric Garcetti are doing a good job and making many efforts to help all the Angelenos, so we wanted to support the leaders of LA by helping them in their efforts.” The worldwide church looks forward to continuing to support programs that improve our global community through various volunteer efforts.
