MAYOR GARCIA’S ‘BUILDING A BETTER LONG BEACH’ HIGHLIGHTS CITY’S UNPRECEDENTED DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY Mayor Robert Garcia, in partnership with the Long Beach Business Journal, provided an update on the City’s record level of new development and construction activity currently underway. The Mayor’s Building a Better Long Beach presentation highlighted several new high-rise projects and a growing trend of more sustainable and iconic spaces on the horizon. “The unprecedented growth and resurgence seen throughout the city reflects our vision for creating a 21st century city,” said Mayor Robert Garcia. “High-quality sustainable development attracts more investment opportunities to our city, and makes Long Beach a great place to live, visit and do business.” The presentation showcased nearly six dozen projects happening across the City, valued at over $3.5 billion, which are currently taking shape or in the pipeline, including the development of more than 5,000 residential units in various stages, from completed to approved. Anaheim Selects New City Flag From More Than 100 Community Submissions Anaheim has adopted a new flag to represent the city for decades to come and serve as a symbol of community pride. The City Council voted to adopt Anaheim’s new flag, which is set to appear in coming months at City Hall, the Anaheim Convention Center, Angel Stadium of Anaheim, Honda Center, other public facilities and in communi-

Riverside Sheriff’s Arrest Cabazon Man On Assault Charges Deputies from the Cabazon Station, responded to the 49000 block of Mountain View Avenue, in Cabazon, in reference to an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, deputies learned a 35-year-old male had been stabbed during an alter-

Two Arrests Made in Case Involving Human Remains Found In Park
Two arrests have been made in the suspected homicide of Henry Stange, 54, of Murrieta, whose remains were found inside Joshua Tree National Park on June 2, 2018. An initial investigation
was conducted by National Park Service rangers, and was continued by Riverside County homicide detectives. The case was later transferred to the Murrieta Police Department. Evidence led to the apprehension of Curtis
