Summertime and the Living Is Easy Especially if you find the right camp for your kids By Terry Miller

There’s a plethora of summer camps vying for your attention this year and in this issue we hope to give a little attention to some of those camps that are available locally and those that offer unique programs to not only have fun for your children but also perhaps enlighten them, albeit without them knowing they’re learning something new and exciting. There are church organizations which offer a balance between academics and fun and then there are Educational Foundations devoted to preparing students for the new school year and aquire college/career skills. Additionally there are numerous private and public schools which offer unique activities for 5-6 weeks on average that offer academic, developmental, and creative workshops. Some camps offer unique traveling experiences combining classroom education with fun, exciting and exceptional activities allowing students to enjoy their summer while exploring new opportunities in and out of the classroom. These include some classes that earn credits for graduation and to explore and enhance one’s knowledge of Southern California and Northern Arizona’s rich artistic, cultural, and historical wonders. In this special section we hope you’ll peruse and inwardly digest what many of our advertisers are offering to enhance your child’s experience but also give you piece of mind that while they are having fun, a structured nurturing summer lies ahead for those able to attend any one of these exciting camps/programs this summer. Have a safe and happy summer from all of us at Beacon Media.
