Students at Arcadia High Hold Vigil for Slain Students Alleged Murderer of Arcadia Teenagers Agrees to Extradition From Hong Kong
BY TERRY MILLER Approximately 500 people attended a peaceful vigil at Arcadia Performing Arts Center Monday night, Jan. 25. The wake honored the lives of two fellow students who were allegedly bludgeoned to death by their uncle Thursday night, Jan. 21. Candles in the shape of hearts adorned the ground where school authorities gave brief speeches about the loss of the Lin brothers. A man accused of killing his two teenage nephews in their Arcadia home and then fleeing the country was arrested in Hong Kong, according to L.A. Sheriffs’ Department and the FBI. Deyun Shi, 44, was arrested at the Hong Kong International Airport after arriving on a Cathay Pacific flight from Los Angeles, the FBI said. Shi was named as a suspect after his two nephews, ages 15 and 16, were found murdered inside their home on Jan. 22 in the 400 block of Fairview Avenue. According to the Hong
