The Tournament of Roses Thursday named Erika Karen Winter as the 98th Rose Queen in an official ceremony at the Pasadena Convention Center. Hundreds of family members, friends and wellwishers attended the event in their Sunday-best outfits and despite the lack of airconditioning in the hall, Royal watchers seemed to have a speldid time waiting for the announcement. The proclamation concludes a month-long process that began with more than 900 Pasadena-area young women who participated in the Royal Court tryouts at Tournament House. The ceremony Thursday was emceed by Stephanie Edwards, who will conclude her 35-year run as co-host for the
