The seven members of the 2016 Tournament of Roses Royal Court were announced Monday at Tournament House. Selected from a group of 39 finalists, the Royal Court will attend nearly 100 community and media functions, acting as ambassadors of the Tournament and the Pasadena community at large. Their reign will culminate with the 127th Rose Parade® and the 102nd Rose Bowl Game®

The announcement follows a month-long process in which more than 900 Pasadena-area young women participated. Fatal Traffic Accident Kills Monrovia Man, Girlfriend The Pasadena Police Department’s Traffic Investigation Team is investigating a fatal traffic accident involving a vehicle and a motorcycle that occurred Oct. 2, 2015 at approximately 7:59 p.m. The driver of the vehicle, a 27-yearold male, was making a westbound turn from Lake Avenue onto Union Street when a motorcycle driving south on Lake Avenue struck the car. Monrovia with a 26-yearold female passenger from Los Angeles. The driver and passenger of the motorcycle sustained fatal injuries and were transported by the Pasadena Fire Department to a local hospital where they succumbed to their injuries. The victims’ identities are being withheld until notification of the families.
