Democrats Victorious in Valley

Chau, Holden & Hernandez Win Assembly Races By Terry Miller In addition to President Obama’s re-election for another four years with almost 60% of the California vote, area Democrats are also rejoicing over some other significant victories in the San Gabriel Valley Tuesday evening. Ed Chau was successful in his election bid for California’s 49th Assembly District over the Republican challenger, Dr.

Matthew Lin. Holden won the 4Ist Assembly District seat defeating challenger Donna Lowe. The 49th state Assembly district includes Alhambra, Monterey Park, San Gabriel, San Marino, Arcadia and Temple City. Judy Chu issued the following statement on Chau’s victory: "The people of the 49th Assembly District

have spoken and Ed Chau was their clear choice. I know what it takes to serve this community in Sacramento, and I know Ed has what it takes.
