Sunday Afternoon at Villa del Sol d’Oro The 42nd Friends of the Sierra Madre Library Wine Tasting is slated to place on Sunday February 12 from 2:00PM – 5:00PM at the historic Alverno High School Villa del Sol d’Oro, located at 200 N. Michillinda Avenue, Sierra Madre. The event is sponsored by The Friends of the Sierra Madre Library, a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote and enhance library programs and services, particularly for children. The afternnon event of wine tasting will be complimented by delectable offerings from local Sierra Madre restaurants. Some of the wineries participating include Campo Viejo, Mt. Veeder, Wild Horse, Clos Du Bois, Jacob Creek, Flora Springs and many more. Participating restaurants are Bean Town, Café 322, Casa Del Rey, Lucky Baldwin’s, The Only Place In Town, Sierra Bistro, Village Pizzaria, Taco Fiesta, Sierra Madre Pizza and Taylors Meats.

On Tuesday, three members of the Monrovia City Council voted unanimously to certify the Environment Impact Report (EIR) and adopt the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program (MMRP). By Terry Miller Monrovia High School’s long time drama director/ teacher Marc Segal is resigning from his post at after the end of the school year.

68th Camellia Festival King and Queen Crowned On Friday, February 3, Lorenzo Blanco and Layla Cattani were officially crowned as Royal King and Queen of the 68th Annual Camellia Festival of Temple City.
