Monrovia Holiday Parade ‘Santa, Snowmen & Song’ begins at 7 p.m Thursday Dec 1 Santa arrived in Old Town Monrovia last weekend bringing with him clear skies, warm weather, and several charming helpers. While Santa greeted visitors, young and not-so-young, his elves handed out candy canes and helped stuff the red Monrovia fire engine full of toys for the “Spark of Love” toy drive sponsored by ABC7 Eyewitness News and the Monrovia Fire Fighters. Tonight the Holiday
Parade “Santa, Snowmen & Song” begins at 7 p.m. and will be preceded by a 6 p.m. Tree Lighting at Library Park. This year’s Grand Marshall is Sid Garcia from ABC7 Eyewitness News. people of all ages, Cal Phil is launching its “BE INSTRUMENTAL” Initiative which was created to enrich children’s lives with the magic of music. Cal Phil will kick off the new campaign with a Musical Instrument Toy Drive benefiting underserved and formerly homeless children who currently reside at Euclid Villa in Pasadena. A Union Station Homeless Services’ program, Euclid Villa provides 14 apartments with supportive services for families transitioning out of homelessness. CAL PHIL’S “BE INSTRUMENTAL” HOLIDAY HAUL 2011 begins Thursday December 1, 2011 and runs through Sunday December 18, 2011.
