The term started with the introduc on of the revised curriculum and ELE (Enhanced Learning Environment ), yet we are very gra fying to Almighty Allah for we believe that we are firmly on the track we had envisioned for ourselves. I am pleased to announce that with teachers and parents working together as a team , we have been able to provide our students the best educa onal experience at BSS Can Campus. Ac vity based learning, as you know, is pivotal for effec ve teaching and learning in Early years or Primary classes. With this perspec ve, we have focused on integra ng the curriculum with a variety of ac vi es on a regular basis. Our staff is provided with extensive training to facilitate them with the latest technologies and create diversity in student's learning. It is our desire to provide an environment where our students feel secure comfortable and smart in terms of our curricular and co-curricular ac vi es. BSS Can Campus is officially an ELE branch and fortunate enough to provide a wide range of opportuni es to develop student's cri cal thinking skills and learning abili es .I am looking forward to share an exci ng and rewarding second term with your child. PSHE Beaconhouse aims to provide students with the opportunity to achieve their best academically, emo onally and socially through a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum. Keeping the needs of modern and prac cal life in focus, it has introduced PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Emo onal) curriculum.
CLUBS AND SOCIETIES BSS offers a wide variety of ac vi es including sports, literacy, technology , food , art and cra to encourage student's engagement and academic performance. For this this purpose it has introduced an interest based clubs and socie es for it's students. Student go to their respec ve club or society such as Oral Communica on, Health & Fitness, Personal Grooming, Art & Cra clubs, once a week and experience different learning ac vi es.
ELE (ENHANCED LEARNING ENVIRONMENT) ELE (Enhanced Learning Environment ) has been introduced in Early Years this year . We have embarked at the base level to engage and familiarize the young minds with the ELE .Tablets, smart boards, beebots, visualisers, EYERIS, digital cameras are being used in early years in different ways to improve and facilitates student's learning. Our teachers are working on innova ve ways in which these modern tools can aid their teaching and planning technology integrated lessons for our young students.
“My Fantasy Room” Story telling plays an important role in the BSS curriculum and is carried out in regular basis. This year we are focusing hard on developing student's reading skills. For this purpose, we have created environment for story telling , role play , drama ac vi es and have named it very appropriately “ MY FANTASY ROOM”. Our students are very excited about the new concept and look forward to spend their me here.
TEACHER'S DAY On 5th September , 2015 teachers day was celebrated by the students of BSS Can Campus. They made beau ful cards for their favourite teachers to make them feel special and honoured. A cake cu ng ceremony also took place among the head and the staff members.

ELE FUNDAY FIESTA Peshawar Can Campus arranged an open day for the academic year 2015-16 on 10th September, 15 for all the parents. The Open Day presented opportuni es for both the parents and their kids. They received detailed informa on on the ini a ves undertaken by the branch namely “ The Enhanced Learning Environment” . Parents met and spoke to the teachers at all levels and observed model classrooms on ELE too. Fun ac vi es occupied kids which included magic show, face pain ng, henna stalls , art and cra s and song dedica on. An interac ve story telling session in the library, ELE play ground ( beebot) and digital photography were immensely enjoyed by everyone. Food stalls were also set up for delicious nourishment.
PARENT TEACHER MEETING The Parent Teacher mee ng is an effec ve way of discovering the child's progress in class. The 1st PTM was held on 20th October ,2015. Parent discussed the strengths and weaknesses of their children with their concerned teachers and found the feedback very helpful GLOBAL DIGNITY DAY Global Dignity Day was celebrated on 21st October,2015 at BSS Can Campus by the teachers and students with great enthusiasm and spirits. The event helped a great deal in teaching importance of dignity in our life to the students. Different ac vi es including making of posters , badges, cards, head bans and murals were part of the main event. The junior staff were praised and presented with special gi s from the students of class 2 on the day. LETS STUDY TOGETHER BSS Can Campus held sessions for five consec ves days from 16TH Nov to 20th Nov, 2015 to introduce parents to the technology being u lized as part of the Early Years curriculum. In this session parent had a chance to observe an acutual running class and experience the learning opportunity their child gets daily in their classrooms.

BSS 40TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS. Beaconhouse School System celebrated its 40th anniversary on 4th November, 2015. Beaconhouse started on 4th November, 1975 and now is one of the largest educa onal systems in the world, and the largest in Pakistan, with more than 150 branches across Pakistan, and schools in 9 other countries. Today, Beaconhouse is present all over Pakistan nearly 100,000 students in Pakistan!!! It was an opportunity for all of us to reflect on Beaconhouse's many successes and innova ons over the last decades. The day was embraced by a cake cu ng ceremony and beau ful card making. A special message from the founder of BSS Mrs Nasreen Kasuri was also shared with the teachers and the students.
IQBAL'S DAY Iqbal Day was celebrated on 9th November, 2015 to mark the birth anniversary of our na onal poet and philosopher Allama Mohammad Iqbal. Teachers discussed the thoughts and message of Iqbal in their classes with their students. Special assembly was also organized on one of Iqbal's poem. We strongly feel that we must ensure that Iqbal's thought is passed on to our future genera on so that Pakistan's ideological moorings keep strengthening.
COLOUR WEEK From 7th ll 11th December, 2015 color week with its red, yellow, blue, green and orange colors was observed with a different color each day. The children came to school in the color of the day throughout the week. Different exci ng and learning ac vi es were planned each day according to the level of the children.
REMEMBERING 16TH DEC Students of BSS Can Campus paid special tribute to the innocent souls of APS through a special assembly. They expressed their solidarity through beau ful messages of hope and peace. They also listened to ED's special message regarding the day followed by a moment of silence.
