Dear Readers: Time passes by so quickly when it is filled with love and happy memories. We have come to the end of the term.

As you will learn from this newsletter, it has been a very eventful term with very happy and rewarding days for staff and pupils alike. We’ve made it! This is our moment of truth. The hard work, dedication, commitment, involvement, homework, practices, sports, tears and laughter have all led us to this day. Today we all finish off another eventful academic year of school and head off to our next year. Pretty exciting!

Dear Parents, I want to thank you for bringing your children to our school and trusting us with them every day.

Most of you had a choice, but I am sure, you would have done it the same way.Parents being involved in their own child’s life lead them to more opportunities for success; our students have shown so many positive qualities and we know this all starts at home.

I would also like to praise my worthy staff. This is not just about teachers that have taught these students, but it is about the collective effort of ALL of you. Everyone, from the librarian, PE teacher, ICT teacher, Music teacher, and teachers in the school believe in always doing what is best for the students. Your kindness and caring for students as whole people and not as grades in exams is the reason that we have seen these students blossom into confident young people. Thank you for always caring about our Beaconhouse Attock students.

Hope fully, we all have learned some new values from the school in the past year. Students have learned respect, dedication, commitment and hard work. Parents care, supportiveness, understanding and encouragement. And I have learned all these precious values from all of you combined and much more. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors and joy and happiness in whatever you do. Happy holidays…

The Beaconhouse Enhanced Learning Environment (ELE)

THE LEARNING FESTIVAL Learning Fest was full of fun filled activities, including cooking, role plays, pottery making, plantation and magic show. Children were very excited to play all these activities. Everyone at the festival was excited to see model classrooms and all related activities

SPORTS DAY The whole event was full of colorful and fun filled activities. The event started with lightening of Olympic torch and ended on giving away the shield, medals and certificates to the students. Each class played different games. The whole event was full of excitement, cheer and enthusiasm. All the participated and were excited to receive medals and shields.

AN INFORMATIVE SESSION ON ETIQUETTES conducted by Ma’am Safia Cassim This was a great learning experience for the staff and student alike. Ma’am Safia shared a great deal of Etiquettes and table manners. Students were excited to learn so many new tips of showing mannerisms and to follow table manners.

Seerat Un Nabi This activity was full of grace and simplicity. Students learnt about sunah and the overall conduct of our beloved prophet (PBUH). All the mothers were invited to witness the event. They appreciated the teacher’s efforts in supporting their students for their brilliant performances

BJMUN (Beaconhouse Junior Model United Nation) proved to be a wonderful opportunity for students to share their views and ideas about a global issue “Terrorism”. This was a platform where student were able to express/evaluate and compare each country’s stance on this sensitive global issue. We are thankful to the students of The City School Attock, BSS – Risapur, BSS – F-10 Islamabad and BSS – Rawalpindi for joining us at BSS – Attock. Everyone was astonished to see the level of global awareness in such a young crowd. We are thankful to Mr. Masood Khan, a well renowned diplomat, who has represented Pakistan in United Nation and various countries. He, in his address to the audience shared his amazement for the successful conduction of MUN at BSS – Attock particularly with a junior crowd. Global village was presented by the students of BSS – Attock. They represented the culture, dresses and music of different countries along with a dress show depicting the dresses of these countries. The MUN as a tradition ended on a performance by the musical band of our BSS – Attock students.

Mother! The greatest blessing of God on human. A mother is probably God's greatest boon in our lives. It's her love that makes us strong, her care that prepares us to face the world, and her hands that help us overcome all the trying times of life. Though every day is a Mother’s Day but celebrating a day with the mothers to acknowledge their love was done with pomp and show in our school.

Our students celebrated the Mother’s day with lots of zeal and fervor. Mothers were given special invitations. Students presented their mothers with small tokens of love made by them with lot of love. Mothers were pleasantly surprised and touched and enjoyed the time with their kids. It was a day which aimed only to make all the mothers feel appreciated for the efforts and love they bestow upon their children.

Clubs @ BSS – Attock This year four clubs were introduced for students including fitness club, ecology club, cookery club and social services club. Fitness club was quite famous among children as most of the children wanted to participate in fitness. However it was pleasantly surprising to see many of the boys willingly participating in cookery club. Social services club was another famous choice. Social services club was unique by its initiative of educating underprivileged children. A group of underprivileged children was invited to school once a week every week. Social services club children provided books and notebooks to those children and helped them in reading and solving maths sums. Children took pride in their work.

Ecology club grew some famous vegies in their small garden which included green coriander, carrots and redish. They also made recycled items to show their little efforts in keeping the environment clean.

On behalf of my teaching and admin staff I would like to thank all the parents for their cooperation and encouragement. These activities would not have been possible without your help and support. We look forward for the same enthusiastic during the next session also.

With unreserved gratitude I would like to thank all my teaching and admin staff for their all-out support and cooperation in making learning a wonderful experience for all the students.

I would also like thank the domestic staff for their support and last but not the least our security staff; they were always vigilant and gave more than the expectations.
