HEAD OF SCHOOL NEWSLETTER 14 December 2016
HEAD OF SCHOOL’S NEWSLETTER NO. 5 Dear Parents, You have ALL been so supportive over the past few weeks of TNS flurry. Your turnout at the Project Presentations and your both measured and thrilled responses to your teacher’s and children’s work was both heartening and so encouraging! So many of you highlighted the Project Journal process on which we placed so much emphasis this time around. So too, you supported our 2 Kick Boxing events but I have insisted on a return to the more ‘civilized’ Taekwondo for our over-exuberant boys! Your concerns were noted. Thank you for attending our 2 very special Eid Milad-un-Nabi events. They were very special. Then your turnout at both the Winter Carnival and the Parent Teachers’ Conferences was so pleasing. One to enjoy so thoroughly; the other to understand your children’s progress and educational success and needs at this time in their school careers. So many of you chatted to me at the Winter Carnival. I want to recognize the efforts of our Events’ Team: Ms. Zahra Khan, Mr. Saad Malik, Mr. Fahad Butt and Mr. Shafiq and their teams for a truly happy and entirely successful event. Your presence in DROVES was so encouraging. So school ends on Friday 16th. We will be commemorating that awful sadness that was the Peshawar APS massacre. Special Assemblies and services to remember those killed will be held at both branches on that day with both schools ending at 12.30 pm. We then expect to see your children at our various gates on Monday 2nd January 2017!! for our final Term of 2016-17 ending on 2nd June 2017. We are expecting to have a Spring Break from Monday 20th to Friday 24th March 2017. Our School Play is to be staged on the 1,2 and 3rd February 2017 and our Junior Sports Days at the TNS DHA Grounds are for Gulberg, DHA Early and Primary Years between the 26th and 31st January 2017 (TBC). We are too, hoping to stage our own MUN and School Concert event in early February? Thank you to all those parents who supported their children at both in-house and away Sports for Beaconhouse at the BSS Bedian Sports Complex, where our fortunes were mixed but mixed much more in our favour this past term.
