Tavern 12 reopens after a time-out Summer is finally here and few things go together better than hot days and a cold beer.

And if you’re looking to grab a tall one at Tavern 12, you’re in for quite a surprise.

The Warwick sports bar hotspot, known as the place for catching the game while catching up with friends, recently took a time-out. Owner Matt DeSarli, who purchased the restaurant last year, was looking to put his signature and a new face on the longtime Post Road establishment. He’s recently closed his doors for some well timed renovations.

From July 6th through the 23rd, work crews provided an interior and exterior facelift.

Though regulars missed the tavern’s homemade sweet fries and locally famous burgers for a few weeks, the renovations have keep fans in mind.

“I’m reinvesting my customer’s money to give them a better experience here. I’m hoping to make it nicer for everyone, and a place they’ll be excited to come back to when it’s finished,” said Matt DeSarli.

Renovations included new landscaping, flooring, bar top, paint and décor, ceiling fans, lighting, and more. Matt hopes he’s perfectly timed the upgrades to coincide with summer vacations and getaways, and that his customers weren’t too inconvenienced by the temporary closure.

When the restaurant reopens for the last stretch of regular season baseball, it will feature a new, updated menu that sports fans and novices alike will be sure to enjoy.

The reopening party on Friday, July 24th will feature food and drink specials, and an appearance by one of the hottest track bands in the area, Brother to Brother, who’ll celebrate with old school classics as well as today’s hits. Check out all the work that’s been done, it’s an event you won’t want to miss.

As always, Tavern 12 will continue to deliver fresh ingredients and fantastic customer service to compliment the new changes. With sandwiches like you won’t find anywhere else, from delicious open faced meatloaf sandwich to a honey mustard, chicken-apple wrap, you’ll continue to find the perfect dish to match your appetite.

Now is the time to stop by the tavern and enjoy lunch or dinner paired with one of two dozen tapped beer selections, daily drink specials, or 35 cent wing and $5.00 appetizer specials. And if you’re looking to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or for a great venue to hold a fundraiser for your favorite non-profit, Tavern 12 can accommodate most parties.
