Ilona Matthews was an inspiring force in the fight to protect our environment and one of the founding members of the Wasaga Beach ClimateActionTeam, established in 2021. Serving as our SecretaryTreasurer for three years, Ilona dedicated countless hours to our cause with unmatched passion and generosity. Her commitment to public service and to the health of our planet made an indelible impact. On October 29th, Ilona lost her quiet battle with cancer. Her absence will be profoundly felt, and we extend our deepest condolences to her husband David and her family

Volunteering for a Greener Tomorrow

We invite everyone to join us on November 19th at the StonebridgeArt Gallery (located above the Century 21 office). This open house welcomes guests anytime from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

Volunteering enriches both communities and individuals, sparking growth, connection, and purpose.Through service, we gain fresh perspectives, find new meaning, and contribute to a cause larger than ourselves. No single person can solve the climate crisis, but together, we can drive meaningful change.

In tribute to Ilona's dedication, we'll feature a remembrance display Please come to share your thoughts and reflections, and to join in her passion for protecting the environment.

Join us on November 19th as we gather to discuss how we, as a community, can reduce our environmental impact and build a sustainable future. Let's collaborate, honor Ilona's legacy, and explore how each of us can contribute to the change we wish to see.
